    That's 100 degrees F. Way to hot. Go to 28c to maybe 30c like Al said also above. That is why your seeds are not popping.

    That looks a lot like something called an Improved Smooth Skin Bhut Jolokia ( ghost). I grew a couple last year and they were great producers and very hot, but not as hot as my regular Bhuts.

    What would you call "just right" ? I have best luck in my dome at 82 degrees and enough humidity that the clear lid is fogged. I have had success from 78 to about 88 but 82 seems to work best for me. And yes, up to 3 weeks or more for a few stragglers every year. I always just toss the remaining...

    Joe has helped me with advise and he sent me some seeds last year that I germed a couple but most are now 3" seedlings in this years crop! Hes never asked for anything in return. Just gives and gives. If anyone on this board deserves some recognition, it's Joe.

    Bonide has a couple products that don't harm the deer. One is pellets that you spread around the area go the pepper plants. It annoys their respitory system enough to make them just avoid the area. ive used it (same exact product) for squirrels and it does work.
