    LeeĀ“s 2009 Grow season

Ciao Lee- Wow, I just love your growing thread because your stuff is so totally different. Those wild guys are really fun! I really loved the growing progress you posted last year for Lance and Rhom. They're just so unlike any other peppers we grow. Keep the photos coming! :)

    2010 Grow Thread Begins

Ciao Patrick- Everything looks great. I just love the look of the Chinenses at this stage when they're almost flat to the soil line and spread those big heart-shaped leaves out.

    ThePepperGrowingMan's 2010 Grow Log

Ciao PGM- How fun, this is like a preview of things to come for the rest of us. :) You did really start early though. Do you have a contingency if the plants outgrow the cups before it's time to plant out? I can't see them thriving as well once they get all rootbound.

    Duane's Pepper Plantation 2010

Ciao DownRiver- We got ours at Toys R Us but if you're fortunate to get in on some good yard sales, that's another place to look. These have lasted several years.

    Duane's Pepper Plantation 2010

Ciao all- Yes indeedy, those are kiddie wading pools we use as giant saucers. As far as container gardening goes, this works extremely well, especially during the dog days of summer when it's just about impossible to keep up with the water needs. D just runs the hose in there until there's a...

    Sorellina's Tomatoes 2010

Ciao Jacob- I grow 48 plants in the main garden and whatever extra containers Duane gives me for the driveway I use for the determinates. I also have 1 hanging basket and a small pot for the porch. It looks like I'll be growing around 55 this year so about the same ballpark as you. :) I...

Hallo Touchy- Sure, I can send seeds to Germany. I've got Ring of Fire Cayenne if that's something you're interested in. What fun German tomatoes have you got?

Sorellina's 2010 Tomatoes for Peppers Offer

Ciao all- Well, I survived Seedy Saturday, our big seed-trading extravaganza here in Toronto. Almost all of the vendors even traded with me so I ended up spending next to nothing and came home with just about everything on my wants list. Here's what I have left to trade. Numbers represent...

    Duane's Pepper Plantation 2010

Ciao Nate- Well, here's how it looked last year in July: And then in September, he had platters like this to deal with:

    Sorellina's Tomatoes 2010

Ciao all- This looks to be the list for this year. Some are not commercial varieties and some are being grown out for friends to replentish seed stock and some are experimental. The question marks are undecided or ones I haven't obtained yet. Edited 3 April 10: question marks have now been...

    Duane's Pepper Plantation 2010

Lol Derek, you got that right! :) I'll try to remember to post the plantation on the driveway when it gets in full swing. It's pretty impressive the way he grows things in a small space.

Ciao Kyle- They sure did! You don't remember me giving you a hard time for your incomplete variety names on the ziplocs? ;o)

Sorellina's 2010 Tomatoes for Peppers Offer

Ciao all- I'm bumping this list up because some people who are still looking for tomato varieties for this year may not see it on page 3. I'm headed to Seedy Saturday next weekend, a very large seed-trading event here in Toronto. This could be good or bad news depending on how you look at it...

    NOSHOW'S OH TEN SEASON!!!

Ciao Nate- Your seeds arrived yesterday in good shape. Thanks so much and I know D will have a lot of fun with them! Dood, your inbox is full so I had to put my message here. Glad to know I'm not the only one with full inbox issues!

    Tomato varieties

Ciao Mike- Based on your criteria for ripening, I'd personally go with varieties with Early in the name and definitely determinates which usually do ripen earlier. You can also get an even earlier start with determinates if you grow them in containers because you can always pull the containers...
