This is going to be a public service announcement since I know a lot of producers see this forum.. Have any of you experienced poor germination on seeds you buy from the market but dramatically good germination from seeds you and your close friends produce at home? Me too! This of course...

I call these THAI HOT “SPEZZANO” in honor of Mr. Spezzano who gave me the original two dried pods in 2012.   By the way, I sent your seeds by mail this morning.  They should reach you by this weekend I guess.   I also sent a PM back to you.   Thanks, Big Mike  

Here is an early update: Big Mike

See the beginning of this thread.  I had six original seeds of the landrace left this past summer.  I started them, got four plants, and took them to my farm where no other chile pepper plants are within five miles and produced a good number of pods.  Accordingly, I have true available seeds now...

Tomato horn worms get worse every year.  Hard to spot too (you have to look for indirect evidence if you know what I mean).   And...They can wipe a plant out in no time at all if you don't catch them.   Birds in my yard must be too lazy.   Big Mike
