powder-flake What Grinder for Pepper Powder?

I may just purchase one of these this year, looks like an amazing product!  I tend to like my powder more like granular table salt though, I dont care for a superfine powder as it tends to cake up.    Thnks for the link, much appreciated!

    Aji Peruvian

Why not just keep them in Pro-Mix, it seems the potting soil was the break point.  As long as my plants are in the 4" containers I dont worry about transplanting until I plant outside then I go for Potting soil or whatever.   Potting soil will retain moisture much longer than a lighter Pro-Mix. ...

chinense Shelf Life of Orange Habaneros? Shelf Life of other Peppers?

Last year my pepper which had the greatest shelf life were easily 7 Pot Jonah, I would pick them when they turned red and I swear I could leave them for weeks before they would start to rot.  They would also get an even deeper red just letting them sit around, I let a large batch sit around...

    food Nashville Hot Chicken

We have 3 local chicken places here in Central Ohio, USA.  We have a KFC, Popeyes, and Church's Chicken.  Of the three places I prefer Church's Chicken because it tastes most like your standard Southern Fried Chicken. I usually get the spicy and its really good.  The spicy wont set any...

    chinense Bih Jolokia

I wanted to grow these this year, but Judy was sold out of this variety so settled on Naga Morich instead.  I'll get seeds for next year as I like varieties which are heavy producers.   Growing:  B.O.C. - Choc Bhut x Douglah, Choc Bhut, Naga Morich, Bhut Assam, and Peach Bhut.   So I think I am...

chinense Has anyone eaten a Ghost pepper (or equivilant) at once?

I feel the same way about the 7 Pot Jonah, what an awesome pepper.  I make a Caribbean style hot sauce using the Jonah and boy is it good!   What I like most about this pepper is shelf life, I pick them when they are red, and they can stay on my shelf for weeks and continue to get an even...

chinense Has anyone eaten a Ghost pepper (or equivilant) at once?

I will cut up superhots and eat them on triskets with cream cheese.  Worst one I ever ate was a cross...... a Reaper x Moruga, it gave me stomach cramps for an entire day and part of next.  That pepper was a total gut bomb, wont be eating one of those fresh ever again!  lol     Generally I will...

    CFL how to

I had a 4' Shoplight die on me last year, I removed all the working parts and I am just left with the metal hood.  I am gonna add sockets to it and wire it up and make a 4 bulb growlight.  It should be interesting anyhow, if I remember I'll post pictures of it when I get around to making it.

Does Pod Shape matter when selecting seeds

I tend to select the best looking or ideal pod pheno's when saving seeds for private use or growing.  Generally selecting a certain type of pheno trait and growing from those seeds can influence future generations but it would take many generations to influence the desired pheno you are looking...

    hybrid * * Show off your Crosses & Off pheno's of 2015 * *

Well picture is pretty self explanatory, I included a Trinidad Red Congo pepper at bottom of picture just to show the parentage.  2016 the pepper will hit F2 and I will be excited to see if they remain stable, it has the initial sweetness of the 7 pot orange and then you get the smokey...
