Leaving peppers on the plant after ripening

I'm pretty sure the pods will fall off naturally after some time. I don't think there will be any harm to the plant.

i need help with this pepper

Let me guess: ebay/aliexpress?   Long before I knew anything about hot peppers I got 200 "Carolina Reaper" seeds for $0.17 LOL   Planted them and got the same as you. Not even cayenne. I think that is the most common pepper out there in china so Tien Tsin maybe?

When to Pick Pods? (Orange Habaneros)

Yeah I've been there Hahahahah!!   I love Orange and Chocolate Habanero. Its flavor when ripe is almost fruity. My family can't handle heat so I make mango habanero sauce for them and they love it!

When to Pick Pods? (Orange Habaneros)

Peppers can be consumed both green or ripe, it's up to you. but imo habaneros are a lot more flavorful when ripen.   well, the pods can stay in the plant until they fall off natually I guess.   like any other fruit and/or veggie, if you store them in the fridge, it will last longer than at room...

Don't look like a Reaper to me but then I don't have a clue

whenever the pods stops growing in size they will pretty much stay that way. It should take about 1 or 2 more weeks to start ripening     btw it looks like a 7 pot barrackpore

As you said yourself, they didn't have enough light so they got leggy. there is nothing wrong with them. just put a stake to hold them standing and let it grow
