The Best Thing I Ever Ate

The Indian restaurant, Punjab, was so good we ended up eating there twice on our honeymoon. My wife had eaten there several times before when she was studying abroad. I ordered the chicken madras the first night and it was good. We went back our last night in London, which happened to be...

The Best Thing I Ever Ate

Its Fergus Henderson's restaurant in London, called St. John. Sorry I didn't make that more clear in my post. http://www.stjohnrestaurant.com/more/fergus/ Henderson has been on the forefront of the movement of "nose to tail" eating for years now. I had to coax my new bride into agreeing to...

The Best Thing I Ever Ate

London (both meals) prawn puri, garlic naan, chicken madras at a restaurant called Punjab, London's oldest Punjabi restaurant. Washed down with several Cobra beers. St. John- everything was amazing, but I still dream about the bone marrow on toast with parsley salad

    Started too late for summer?

Scorpions are going to take longer, and I'm not really familiar with your zone. But I'd say doubtful. All that said, there are many posters on here that know way more about this stuff than I do.

    Started too late for summer?

You should be fine with all three of those. Serranos and jalapenos are quick producers, and habs don't take too much longer. In my experience, you could see jalapeno pods by the end of July/early August???

    vendor Pepper Joe

My japs and other annuums are starting to bud out like crazy. All seeds from Joe. This is my last box of starts. A few scotch bonnets, mostly bhuts and Butch T's. Recovering very nicely from me trying to kill them off with fert burn. counting down the time to move them into their new homes...

    vendor Pepper Joe

Joe's a stand up guy, and if you DID have some problems with seeds I'm sure he would replace them. I've had outstanding luck with his seeds this year; will be potting up the last of my starts to 5-7 gallon containers this weekend.

    food Everythang' Tex-Mex!

Actual Kobe beef isn't available for sale anywhere but Japan, with the recent exception of Macau. The problem is that there is no regulation on the usage of the term kobe, or kobe style, so yeah, some restaurants charge insane prices for a "kobe style" cut of beef that isn't much different than...

Too many plants, garden too small, need cheap plastic pots

Definitely go the nursery route. They HAD to charge me something for them (not allowed to give them for free), so they charged me 5 cents a piece for all the containers I could get out of there. 3,5,7 gallon and a few even larger. Met the ownerr of the nursery who is going to be a huge help...

    pests Pest Control: Best solutions

It won't kill the plant. I dilute some dish soap in water, put it in a spray bottle and keep it handy at all times. Does wonders on aphids, especially.

seeds New to growing peppers from seeds

I would move onto the ProMix, or another potting medium. I use MG, and when I transplant to the solo cups they go in the MG potting soil.
