I use half dose ferts every 15 days or so. Underfertilizing is always better. Watch your plants..they will tell you

Tia, I shade my containers with plywood. Here in So. Cal, we get triple digit heat so you have to watch your soil temp which will cause you to drop flowers and fruit. A/C might shock them. I wouldn't do that.

jimbo53, I'm using Pro-mix HP. I'd love to make my own someday but Pro-mix I highly recommend. My Home Depot has it. M, (Mike I think :-) Hang in there man. All of a sudden, the plants wake up and before you know it, pods :-)

Pepper plants are tropical in nature so yeah, humidity makes them thrive. My plants took off with the recent bout of tropical moisture we had.

I don't know Tim but those plants are gorgeous! California doesn't have the humidity to make monster plants. Too dry. Dave
