Hey Smitty - You beat me to posting! I just bought some of these at my local market they must be the same distrubuter here in AZ... My boyfriend asked me why I was buying peppers LOL. I think they are beautiful i dug through the bin for the most wrinkly ones.... any ideas what they are folks...
ChiliEmpire,
Just to clarify... is the finger pepper the same as "Siling haba"? Also you may have to let them turn red before you harvest them for the seeds to be mature. Beautiful peppers! My boss only brought my back one moldy labuyo - I will PM you.
Where are you in Manila? My boss goes there every other month maybe we can do trade. We do a lot of work for Analog Devices in Cavite city but I think he stays in Manila at the Shangri-la. What kind of chili peppers are you looking for?

I will have more red peter peppers ready to harvest in a week or so. I also have Aji lemon drop and crystal, red carribean hab. I have lots of kinds of chiltepin if you want to work on patience in germinating lol.
Hello Southwesterner... Unfortunately we have a lot of the same seeds in common. Did you check out Aji Joe's seed sale post? He has quite a few versions of African bird chili. I didn't see the Brazilian one you are taking about but I have seen several post from members located in Brazil that...
I have black chiltepin (looks sim to black prince but the pods are round like black pearl and not clustered). Also Pasilla de Negra they are very long 8-10" late maturing used for mole in Mexican cuisine....they have a raisin like flavor when dried and powdered.
I also have Negro de Valle and...
It was just like Christmas morning except my fingers are burning! Thanks so much Joe I love the whole pods and appreciate the generous amounts of seeds. I can't wait to get sprouting and I'll post photos of my results later.
Thanks again,
Sophie
Very good advice here and nice pics chile_freak. Those look like my plants. I also have a black chiltepin and a shorter stalky mayatepin. They grow wild here. PM if you want fresh or seeds.
My guess is Fushimi - good in asian stir fry - good flavor no heat. I like them alot.

I have a bunch of types of chiltepeans....they can grow wild here. I could send you seed from last years stock or fresh ripe pods from this year. I also have Big Sun Hab I can share. Nice chicken BTW!

$6 for a plant is a good deal for some of the rare/super hot types considering what I have paid for 10 seeds that turned out to be duds. I think i may place an order thanks for the tip!
