Cheers! Game on! Short beans. No idea what they specifically are thanks to a language barrier. My mother in law gave me seedlings and I took them. All I understood was they fruit well but don't get too tall. I need to stake them tomorrow. Peter pepper! I found a seedling for a hundred yen...

Looking great! Glad they missed the frost. Lows of 21c at night here right now. Beautiful weather and sunshine. It's about to hit rainy season and then it's tropical weather for me. Less fun than it sounds.

medaka are actually a very popular, tiny fish that are commonly and traditionally kept in containers outside. for decorative purposes. If you look very closely you might spot them. Imagine having pet minnows. I have ten of them in that container. i can see at least 4 in that pic, the rest hide...

    George's 2015 - Yokohama Down In Flames

This year has been terrible. Plants look like this mid April. I don't wanna swear on this site, but you can imagine my frustration and what I might say. Things are meant to get better each year, not worse. However, I learned so much this year. If things don't pick up it's a store bought...

i always microwave soil. it was sterile. stupidly steamed them in a polytent (which i wont be using again). genuinely don't think it has anythng to do with soil. they would have rotted earlier if it were IMO what concentration to use peroxide at?

    George's 2015 - Yokohama Down In Flames

i don't think its the soil. putting them on a polytent on a sunny day did it i think. they basically steamed in there with no moving air. they were perfectly healthy beforehand, then suddenly fatalities. i have some peroxide, yeah
