Hey all, I'm still here and my chosen plant is putting out better pheno pods now, still have not harvested any yet. Plant still has that one early pod that is ripe on it. A couple pods have some soft/rotten spots on them though.

Thanks! I also made my own mix this time... 1 part each of MG potting mix, Sand and Perlite. So hopefully that works well, it's a pretty common custom mix recommended on most cacti sites.

Update for the glued flowers... I have some that have taken, you can see below that the flower petals are still sealed and have fallen off, but the new bud/pod remains... I do have some others though that managed to still open up even with the tip glued, which means I just didn't get...

PlanetDesert.com just come some back in stock. They want $26 for one in a 4" pot. Bit pricey, but they look amazing in bloom when they get older.

Decided to try gluing some flowers again this year. Covering the branches with the mesh is a PITA! If I had mesh bags it would be easier, like the paint bags some people use,but their a bit pricey for how many I would need. When it looks like the bud is just about to open, like the day before...
