Millworksmans first post is correct. Water evaporates and the nutrient salts will not. Diy Hydro is as cheap as you like. DWC seems to be the cheapest as its just an air pump, air line, air stone, container and nutrients.

There is a product available called ph down. Also there is a product called ph up. These are specific products made by various manufacturers to be used in hydro systems. I think usually they contain buffers to help keep the ph stable. Here is a link for reference...

Its always important to make sure the medium is sprouting well before putting into a system like this. Add water then nutrients to relevant strength. Then check ph and adjust to suit. If the nutrients are too weak or strong this can cause your ph to go up and down. You need to test both ph and...
