Little bit of an update:
Added a yellow 7 pot to the nft: (seeds from THSC. Very vigorous)
Plants super healthy and will be ready for plant out beginning of May.
Just cover the top tray with plastic and make cut outs for your pots. The pump and timer will need to plug in somewhere inside ideally. Its not a good idea to have electrical connections uncovered outside.
The only reason it needs protecting from rain is it will dilute your nutrient solution...
Hi toasty. The small starter cubes need some every day really as the dry out quick. The big ones got soaked in nute solution before transplant and lasted about 10 days. Now they stay wet for about a week. Thanks for the interest. Pictures from the other day.

I think he had some seeds and a particular pod from the plants was very different. I'm sure he said that he'd already grown it out for a year and he is doing the same this year.

Its being grown by Nick Woods of fire foods. Met him a couple of times and his a nice chap. He has his own forum too.

Hi Cappy, Plants looking great.
The BS seeds you sent me last year are top quality with pretty much every seed sprouting. All strong health plants too. Thanks again.
I read your using flora nutes for the soil ones. I'm using the same stuff in hydro. What concentration are you using it at and...
I don't work in ppm - can you change that? Not that it matters as I don't have an Iphone.
Also I use the same amount of grow, bloom and micro throughout my grow and keep the nutrient strength at what the plants tell me. Nutrient strength rises its too strong - add water. And vice versa.

How about a cheap sprinkler system? These can be controlled by plug in (cooling type) thermostats.
There is one on Fatalii's site that he has made but his runs off the mains
