    seeds Have some seeds sprouting

I would say to use some 5 gallon buckets. You can still get some good size plants, and they can be moved inside if needed. It also allows you to mix your own soil if you wish. I dont have a big enough yard for a garden so I only do container growing and it works fine for me.

sun Can you harden plants with sunlight through a window?

I have noticed my plants can go into direct sun through my windows w/o any issues. But when I put them outside in the sun they go limp in a couple hours. I have heard that glass does reflect a lot of rays. Is there a place that gets a short amount of exposure to direct sunlight outside?

flavor he said it tasted like cardboard...

Like many others, the main purpose for growing the superhots (besides powder) is to quiet the mouths of friends and co-workers. I hand them a bhut or scorpion smiling, and have yet to be dissapointed. It's even better when they take a really big bite.

    seeds Douglah germination rates

I have had poor germination rates w/ my douglah seeds as well. I had only one of ten sprout after about 2 weeks. I wonder if there is more to saving seeds than just letting them dry before storing?

Welcome. Nice to see another chilihead from VA. I still have family in Blacksburg. I have seeds for the Biker Billy Jals, Yellow Scorpions, Red Savina, and some recently acquired Douglah (Chocolate 7 Pod) seeds. I've had trouble w/ the white habs, and I'm looking for more seeds. Might be...

    2011 Growing Season

I have already started 6 plants as well as overwintering 3. I start them under CFLs and then move them to the basement under a 400w MH. I keep them in soil the whole time. I only do this cause of the short growing season here in MI. I had a few green pods I had to pull cause of the weather...

Ever discover your friend was a chilihead?

While working in Kansas City, I met up with an old friend from the military. I knew we both enjoyed curry from a certain restaurant in Japan. I had sent him some habanero powder last year to spice up the curry. I brought a pack of CoCo's curry, and a fresh Bhut from the garden. The look on...

Trinidad Scorpion Appreciation Grow Event 2010

Well, I have some stingers. If only I could get these things to take on a little color. I brought one plant inside in case the frost killed the other. Neither plant has a hint of color besides green. Even the Bhuts have turned red already, what is taking so long?
