Wondering if my crowded kids under 2 T5HO would benefit from 3 more (24") in about a month ? I see these pics here of plants much younger and yet way bigger.
At this time crowded is an understatement but figured it would work out prior to the great outdoors ?
Confused And disappointed with...
Seems there a lot about the symptoms of over watering. I'm wondering about under watering. The standard of leaves drooping or obvious signs are not hard to detect. What if one knows according to weight that it MUST be dry and yet the plants appear to be in good shape / happy ?
Works for me, thought the roots may come out the side wall holes but that's not happening. I'll be doing a pot up on the weekend so I'll have a better result scenario then
Be surprised at how little water they need yet how long they take to recover from to much. I'm going through and excessive watering situation and not sure how to dry them out. Fan seems to do little to nothing at that point.
You put 2-3 seeds into a puck, one popped and same was transferred to a solo cup. All is still good till you give the solo a flip and find a "birds nest" of roots most new some at the bottom getting old.
How to separate and give each a solo to live in ?
Should clarify, I pulled the single...
I popped holes in the side of my solo cups as well. Weather here is geared for a plant out about end of may.
What I may try after today's multiple twin and triplet separation surgery for 20+ solos = 40-50 by the time I'm done is to apply a good bottom suction session and then use my "turkey...
It makes sense but then the agruement of messing up the ferts and washing out same when coming in from the top. I agree thought top watering "seems" to make sense ,,,,in moderation. But then again will a gentle top water reach the bottom ?
Indeed, use up my PM and add the ferts as and when required.
I'll be in surgery this aft separating the solos where all 2-3 seeds popped and will put them right back in PM. Makes sense as they are established and a little stress from the divorce should be a fast healing process (I hope) have a...
By bottom feeding only, are the new roots up top not water deprived. I currently take each solo cup submerge about 1-2" in my water pot and count to 5. The ones I have in clear cups are showing that the water/moisture level is only approaching the 2" area from the bottom which seemingly is...
My fellow grower, I can't see where Ur located on my mobile but haven't seen either of those? I'm in TO and we have a choice of nurseries, / Rona / HD etc but will retry to scan for those. Thanks.
I've been cruising around just to check pricing on the next stage soil after ProMix HP. I my tours I've come to realize that more than marketing/packaging has changed. Appreciate some input on the next BEST soil medium in preparation of goingg outside at apprx end of May as we do up here...
I should have mentioned or at least asked, when I was involved in Hydro many years ago we called the plant holder a "basket" not a container. And ProMix HP or anything that resembled soil was shunned upon. That was a long time ago...
Chili out is right. Perhaps my initial wording is what may have caused the eruption. I did not mean or intend to mean anything "Hydro" simply garden vs container, pail, large plastic holder whatever.
I will endorse Potawie's response that up here when the grow season is coming to an end and...
