I've grown Pequin these past couple of years. I got fast germination in 2020 ~ 1 - 1.5 weeks. This year I saw the first sprouts at around the 100 day mark, with an extra one coming in at close to 120 days after planting. They are not easy to get to cooperate.   Patience is the name of the game...

  True, but my pepperoncinis were never even exposed to our climate. They enjoyed a consistent supply of nutrients, stable temps, humidity and light cycles. Probably should have stressed them out a little huh? :)

  Sounds about right, common names tend to get confused. One that comes to mind is "chiltepin" vs "pequin" peppers, which are often used interchangeably. Still, I'm glad to finally have an ID for this one - I've had the seeds for about 6-7 years and was finally able to see them produce.
