I use fish emulsion every week or so but was wondering if thats just a waste because of the wood chips.

    Mulch

I've been using these large woodchips from my landscaping as mulch, but I've been reading that can remove the Nitrogen.  I did a few searches and it seems like people say smaller wood chips or straw. I'd like to have something that could help retain the moisture. My plants get wilty on a near...

health What's wrong with this plant?

I do need to get some seaweed fertilizer or make some myself. All the pots I use are fabric for peppers and are good producers. Just that one plant for some reason.

health What's wrong with this plant?

This time of year it rains basically everyday or every other day. Before that was probably watering every 3 days or so. It's a fabric pot and prior to reporting few months ago it was in a black plastic pot from a local nursery. I'm kind of wondering if it's diseased as well. The pods don't...

health What's wrong with this plant?

I've had this plant in a pot for little over a year now and moved it all around house for sun. I give it same amount fertilizer as every other plant which is typically fish emulsion. Basically my other 40 or so plants don't have this issue and have dark green leaves and bigger pods. I've even...

FL pepper plants wilting and losing all leaves

Yeah the pods have ripened. Just not sure what to do at this point. Probably have a couple months where could get into 30s. Growing from seed all over again seems like a pain, but obviously I'll do it if I have to. I guess I should have brought them inside when temps get around 40. Live and...

FL pepper plants wilting and losing all leaves

So I'm not sure what is going on with my plants. I've got about 30 plants that were fine for about 7 months and then all of a sudden the last month I can't stop them from wilting and losing tons of leaves. The leaves would turn yellow so I really slowed the watering hoping that would help, but...

health What's wrong with my choc bhutlah leaves?

This plant also wilts basically everyday in sun. Should I move it or will it eventually get used to the sun and not wilt anymore?

health What's wrong with my choc bhutlah leaves?

Yes all the leaves came out while indoors.

health What's wrong with my choc bhutlah leaves?

So will this happen all summer long?  Just seems like eventually I'll run out of leaves and they'll all be burned! I've never had this happen inside my lanai. Guess that screen is clearly the difference because the sun hours are nearly identical.

health What's wrong with my choc bhutlah leaves?

No, I haven't ever wiped the leaves off.  I'll have to start doing that. I didn't know that I should be doing that. The problem is in FL it rains everyday in summer basically and I won't be home to wipe them off after every storm.  It's a mix that I got from a local nursery so I'm not 100%...

So should I leave it or put it in the shade for a few days?

health What's wrong with my choc bhutlah leaves?

I recently moved my plant from my screened in lanai to outside and every morning I notice this. I've sprayed with dishsoap and water and it didn't do anything.

    pruning pruning

The only time I've pruned my peppers are when I first get them growing then I top them after about a month. When should I be pruning? I'm in Florida so my peppers stay outside basically all year.

    Jalapenos growing very slow

I just assumed I'd get as many blooms as I do on other peppers and it's rare that I get any blooms on my Jalapeno plant.  Just not sure what I'm doing wrong.  I did have to heavily prune about 4 months ago because it was losing nearly all of it's leaves, but after pruning the leaves came back.

    Jalapenos growing very slow

I repotted the jalapeño in a 5 gallon. I found out there was probably a cup or two of standing water in the bottom. I thought I drilled holes in all my pits but apparently I didn't. I hope this helps. It's now in a fabric pot with plenty of drainage.
