water What to do about overwatering?

I have a pair with foil on them, but I'm afraid that it will end up sealing the moisture in as well. It is a catch-22.

water What to do about overwatering?

Please read the entire post before responding with what sounds like the obvious answer.   In the last 90 days, our area has received more than 24" of rainfall, which is about double the normal average for the same period. The outlook from the local forecasters are calling for at least two more...

Finally NO RAIN for a week

Today was a beautiful day, but low temps will be in the high 40's, so my son, wife and I carried 20-something large pots, 12-ish smaller pots and around 40 solo cups full of plants back in the house a few minutes ago. Our dining room looks like a forest.

did Miss Bonnie let me down?

As an update, after several emails back and forth with Bonnie they believe they may be Golden Cayennes that were mislabeled as Dragon Cayennes. They also said they will be mailing me plant vouchers, I guess for replacements?   I like the plants, and I'm curious to see what the pods look like...

    Dragon Cayenne

Wal-mart also has the Dragon Cayennes as well, but the ones I purchased are not growing true. I created a thread in the pepper I.D. forum discussing the four Dragon Cayenne plants that I purchased at two different times, at two different places. I'm currently communicating with Bonnie via email...

    Dragon Cayenne

I started a thread yesterday about the four Bonnie plants I purchased two weeks apart, from two different places that were all labeled Dragon Cayenne, but are all producing pods that are around 4 inches in length. This thread is what inspired me to buy them as a cross between a Thai and a...

did Miss Bonnie let me down?

I just grabbed a pair and ate them, they have more heat than most Cowhorns that I have had, and they are still very green. This may be interesting.

did Miss Bonnie let me down?

Yeah, they all hang down. after looking at the other types of peppers Bonnie sells, I think they could be Cowhorn Hot Peppers, the pods are the same shape, but not as long. We'll see. Hopefully they'll be tasty. :)

did Miss Bonnie let me down?

Bonnie's website lists them as being 1 to 2 inches long, with a plant that is 15 to 18 inches tall. As clearly seen in the pics, these are on average 4 inches long, and the shortest of the plants are closer to 24 inches long.

did Miss Bonnie let me down?

I have four different (supposed) Dragon Cayenne plants, Bonnie brand, two purchased from Lowe's and two purchased from Wal-mart. They were purchased about two weeks apart, but none of them are producing pods that i have seen here or across the internet, or even on the Bonnie website. pictured is...

What night temp kills a pepper plant

It's forecast to be 47* here tonight, but I literally have no room left inside to bring in pots, so i covered the ones outside with a sheet and am going to hope for the best.

    Drought in CA

My opinion would be that the acceptable percentage would be what ever is necessary for the water production to continue. If Americans and Californians in particular choose to put such things as an endangered two inch fish above the economic livelihood and the essential need of water for all of...
