2 things .. 1st your drainage issue can be taked care of by putting coco chips in the bottom of your pots for a few inches.. then the finer coco on top. 2nd .. you ever think of a small flood table ? i run coco in a 2 x 4 table and i have had great results.
may want to think about a flood table full of coco . You can pack alot of plants into them and they will do awsome. Peppers arnt that bad in hydro since they like weak mix . Coco is pretty damn forgiving.
i have great luck with them . I use them to start either seeds or cuttings and then go to hydro . they dont get as soaked as rockwool does .. i like them alot .
didnt have as good luck with the reapers as most . i only had 3 germ. They look nice but i had hoped for a bit more. I always start my seeds out in an aerogarden and have had near 100% germ rate in the past even with BJ and morugas.
I bought an elcheapo panel . it worked nice when the plant was smaller but as it got bigger , the light didnt penetrate enough.
