WickedMike sent me an amazing box of goodies this week:
Thank you so much man!
I'm so flush with seed varieties now I'm pretty going to have to convert the entire backyard into a garden for the 2016 year.
To fulfill 7 Pot Jonah seed requests I harvested a few candidates this afternoon:
Between the soil amendments and the good-for-peppers weather this year I'm getting some respectable pods.
I did a quick harvest of Brazilian Starfish pods this morning and found that one of the pods had a little extra...
I know it's not that uncommon to get a double-pod, but I don't know if I've ever seen one where half was ripe and the other half still green.
And, that's 10. Closed for now.
Let me see where I'm at after fulfilling all of these and do an assessment on what other varieties I will have producing. I've got several 7 Pot Primos and Barrackpores that are nearly ready but I don't know what their seed production is like.
I will send out...
So, after spending FOUR DAYS in the dehydrator the peppers have the consistency of slightly stale saltine crackers. I don't think I can get them any drier due to the relative humidity here in Central Florida tending to hover around 60%. The peppers have been put into airtight containment...
These varieties are not all that uncommon but I've got so many seeds saved from recent harvests it seems a shame not to share.

The Brain Strains I've been growing have been massive pods, I'm not...

To the dehydrator, Batman!
I'm dehydrating these on the lowest heat...
I just harvested and ate my first ever Brazilian Starfish pod and it was flippin' delicious. Red bell pepper with a bit of nutty undertone (slightly almond maybe?) with a subtle, diffuse heat that started slow and then stayed around for several minutes after finishing. Completely unlike the...
PM me an address and I'll throw a couple in a box along with some other pods so you can try them. They truly are fantastic for stir fry.
Be sure to save seeds!
This year I've been surprisingly lucky with the Bonnie Plants Lottery. I only purchased a few chiles at the HD due to having so many overwinters, but the C.annum that I did get are growing true:
Golden Cayenne
Cowhorn (Long Hot Red Cayenne)
Early Jalapeño
A big thanks to RPM55 (Robert) for the very nice package of seeds and powders I received today, thanks so much!
Truly a fine example of chilehead for this community.
Better light shows off just how loaded this 7 Pot Jonah really is.
Delicious and sizeable; these Cowhorns are starting to turn.
I filled my pockets with what I could from the Yellow Brain Strain and Naga Morich.
Seriously big pods.
My tomatoes have reached the roof of the house.
