    Are fatalis finicky about anything?

I only ask because there have been buds forming, flowering and dropping off seemingly for weeks now while everything else is fruiting. Do they need more water? Less water or nutes? It is more or less in full sun.

    Day length & fruiting

Hi So, do chillis bud, flower and fruit in response to day length shortening at all? There seems to be an explosion of flowers and pods lately - temps are still low 80s during the day and that looks well set to stay but daylight hours are definitely less!

From flower "death" to a ripe pod..

Correct Trippa. If they take a month I've got heaps of time! And with the amount of plants I have, I'm not sure I want pods coming out my ass. I've already counted 35 bhuts on one of my 3 bhut plants and 30 Devil's Tongues, 20 black nagas, 20 red habs then my star performer has set fruit and I...

From flower "death" to a ripe pod..

How long does this typically take for a pod to grow and ripen given good conditions? I'm just a bit worried - my douglah is only just starting to bud (No flowers opening yet) And there's only 2 1/2-3 months of pretty good conditions left :( I learnt my lesson... START EARLY.

Is it worth repotting once they're fruiting? And safe to?

What about semi-high winds? Mill, my man, I could kiss you :D But only after I eat a Primo. Perfect!!!! Should I giving them some kind of shelter or cutting them back at all? Defo pick off all pods when the temps drop a bit more?

Is it worth repotting once they're fruiting? And safe to?

The lowest temperature overnight in the middle of winter is 7/45oF. We had a freak frost this last winter which dropped down to 39oF which was farken cold. Then it's usually around 55-60oF during the day. I need to overwinter, right? Cheers

Is it worth repotting once they're fruiting? And safe to?

Okay. The pot itself is quite shallow but *wide*. I think it's actually wider than it is deep - I was experimenting with different pots for different varieties to dry out the soil more or keep it moist which is why I'm assuming this is a grunty Trinidad :D Anyway, I guess I'll have to ask about...

Is it worth repotting once they're fruiting? And safe to?

What up! Happy Waitangi Day to all the Kiwis around. Now, I have a plant that I am sure of with regard to its varietal but it is *beautiful*. I have never seen a healthier looking plant. From pot to top, it's just bushy, vibrant and wonderful. It's a couple of weeks into developing pods -...

    Green pods

Let's say I am a bit of a capsaicin slut and I can't bring myself to wait the few weeks for pods to ripen... How do green pods compare to red ones in terms of heat and flavour? Like MUCH less hot and MUCH less flavourful? Also, I've noticed some of the pods are a pale green but others are a dark...

    So what is happening here?

Yes, I have been double ferting all my non-tomato plants. My neighbour and girlfriend's mother both have worm farms. I'm going to tax some of their worm juice :D Is that what I want?

shopping Leaf yellowing on my recently purchased black naga?

Not but they're both nightshades. So chillis really do not like nutrient rich soil, then?

Why? My tomatoes never bitched and cried :P

    So what is happening here?

I read a study saying you could water in the midday sun as that burning the leaves thing was a myth. So should I add some milk to them? :)

    So what is happening here?

Generally healthy plants - no aphids or anything. Just the leaves curl a bit, bit more brittle and rusty looking shit. Am I overwatering or too much fert? I fert once every 7-10 days and water every day or two. Really when it looks dry-ish on top. Here are some pics to better explain...

shopping Leaf yellowing on my recently purchased black naga?

Correct. But I always use more fertiliser than the packet says.. Ahem. Like double.

I used the potting mix with slow release fertiliser to pot it up. And thanks, how did you do the embedding? And it's a caterpillar orgy on my broccoli. Foliage is too lush for a complete extermination but a 2 minute inspection killed 7 or 8 cats.
