Just today I've read that the fan should push air into the tubes. Sucking hot air, as it is now, will damage it.

  Cords off and ballast placement far away from the bulbs seems both good. We Romanians always try to make it work somehow, even that means "safety second" :) But joking aside, I'm glad that this didn't start a fire. No worry, I accept any critics, that's the purpose of this topic.  

  Yes, a short caused by melting of the insulation due to excessive heat maybe? It was the cool tube from the left, the one closest to the fan, that was getting also the heat from the other tube.

Last week I had my first harvest :)     I turned them into a pineapple/mango/orange sauce, heat is pretty mild but the taste is good.

I think Brain Strain Yellow, which turned to red: Peach Bhut Jolokia: Bed #3, jungle, can't really check what's under those leaves. I'm afraid that I will brake the flowers.   Sweets:

It's tomato string and hooks, not sure how it's going to be later in the season, I guess I'll have to sustain more branches as the weight increases. In the first picture you see the hook and the string, in the 2nd and 4th pic you see the black clips.

Thanks I went outside this night, equipped with a flashlight and saw slugs crawling towards the plants. I've sent to heaven at least 5 of them. And now starting to feel sorry for the poor crickets... Next week I'll get a big bag of used coffee grounds and spread around.

Long time since last update. Are the very hots so slow or I'm doing something wrong? All annuums show visible signs of improvement since last update. I'm having some pest damage and is affecting only the chinense :( After reading more about it I suspect it's crickets, I don't remember having any...

I have moved the big ones to larger pots and they seem to like it. Night temperatures were low so could not move them outside yet, but from next week it's starting to warm up (min 10+ Celsius).             Some jalapeno still very curly...
