    Heefys 2019 Grow (UK)

Good luck overwintering your Rocotos. I still have some leftover and almost forgotten Rocotos in the greenhouse now. We haven’t had more than a light frost in this area of the country yet. Very surprising. There is even two wild varieties still alive in there. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

    Heefys 2019 Grow (UK)

I find that to get anywhere near a half decent haul from the pubescens, I need to start them early. They will stay in the insulated, heated shed until around April or May, when they are hardened off and then put in a poly tunnel or out in the garden. As the chinense varieties finish off I...

    Heefys 2019 Grow (UK)

Rocotos, started in November. Chinense and baccatums have been started in December. Just some stragglers to sow now. This year is much more balanced than previous years. So far I have around: 10 x c.annuum varieties. All yet to sow. 19 x c.baccatum varieties, including 13 of my own...

Thanks mate. I have around 80 varieties of pubescens, having made it my personal goal to grow as many as I can.

    Heefys 2016 Grow

Finally a bit of an update. I gave the plants a good water and check over and here are some that I took pics of, as I did so. An overview of more than half the plants. An Orange Rocoto. Defcon X Reaper. One of the later, smaller plants. Little B***ard. Sorry. I didn't name that...

    Heefys 2016 Grow

Germination rates are still good. Plans are in full swing for getting the greenhouse up in April and possibly a new Chilli Shed. Here was today's haul of Turbo pube pods. I will be dragging the seeds out of those. And an update on the late starters. And I will catch up with the rest soon.

    Heefys 2016 Grow

A small update. I got around to watering today. Just plain water as I can't find the box with the Nutes in! Here are today's stand out plants. Ulupica F3. Quite a special cross. Not sure what to expect. Ecuadorian Sweet. A pubescens sweet pepper. Now that is going to be juicy, thick...

    bpiela's 2016 Glog

Great glog. Thought I would pop over and check yours out after you were so complimentary. You are going great guns. Filled three shelves and counting. I have seeds for the blue mystery. Remind me what is it? Is it a PL seed? Some great varieties, some I have never heard of before...

    Heefys 2016 Grow

Ah that's a small tube heater as the box is outside in an unheated greenhouse in the UK. It's thermostatically controlled, so only kicks in from time to time, overnight. 160watts. Does the job nicely. The trays are heated and adjustable so sit at 21 degrees C.

    Heefys 2016 Grow

Thanks mate. It's getting bigger too. I have gone a bit mad and after hours pondering the grow have just sown whatever I fancied, regardless of space etc,. . The first is a mixed bag of mainly Baccatums, and wilds. I'm aware of the not so deliberate mistake on CAP 802. It's not a baccatum...

    Heefys 2016 Grow

A little update. Plants are going crazy! That's some of the Rocoto and Chinense, reaching the top of the second height extention to the Vitopod. That's a rogue Basil plant in there too. Some of my crosses are too big for the grow shelf. They had grown above the LED lights! They are...
