    Too late to top?

I think you can top whenever. I top mine when they are flowering or bearing fruit, to contain them. Well, I'm sure you should be careful with tiny seedlings. Having said that, topping isn't actually necessary. Some people like it for size management, but You can skip that.

map of mexico peppers 64 varieties

Now, the important question is where we can find seeds to ALL of those. I'm curious about the miraparriba, can't find anything on google about it.

    CUT LIST 2016

Haha, I'm only growing one variety I had last year, the rest are all getting cut. I realised that I'm still a few years away from eating a super, so why grow them? Also, being my second year growing, I'm still experimenting. So I like to try new things. I cut my red Cayennes, only to grow yellow...

    The Edible Backyard Project

I'm from a slightly colder climate, but we have several apple and plum trees in our yard, and they are always a big hit. Good thing about trees is that they take care of themselves most of the time. I'm not very good at decorative plants, I like all of mine to be edible in some way. But if...

LOS CHILES DE MÉXICO Y SU DISTRIBUCIÓN (Book)

That Chile Rayado mentioned in the jalapeño section looks a lot like farmer's market jalapeño. Did anyone else pick up on that?

    Comptine's Veggie Glog

Beans started popping up yesterday, so roughly 5 days. I think I'm still waiting for two to come up. Sowed a second batch today, mostly to give to people. Will do a third batch of the bush varieties as well I think. Once I figure how many I can actually fit.      We decided to try growing...

Just how fast (or slow) do chillies grow?

Nah, chinenses just grow super slow. That's why they are normally started pretty early, to accommodate the long growing season.

Stickman's 2016 Gochu Glog- Transplanting is Finished

Had to look up what gochu meant. Does this mean you're doing a Korean chili theme this year?

    Fungus Gnats.. Ugh

I can't get mosquito dunks. I did buy nematodes which work really well, I see a reduction in gnats fairly quickly. I tried sand last year, it did not work at all.

    seed-train European Seed train...

I had a look through that list you posted of what was in the train way back, and my winter hux was actually winter luxury  :banghead: I obviously tried to shorten it and could not remember what it was. That was silly of me, but the list you posted came in handy!

    Comptine's Swedish Glog 2016

Those plants look huge! And so do the pots, are you sure they are 3 litres? They look a lot bigger than that!    Spider mites are essentially just a type of spiders, the plants should be fine as soon as they go outside, spider mites hate humidity, so I'm guessing once it starts raining on...

    Comptine's Swedish Glog 2016

I read that spider mites aren't like most other pests, so the same remedies don't work an them. I was using pyrethrins all of last season, and it definitely gets rid of aphids! Shame they decide to come back. This year I actually bought need powder to put in the sail, supposedly that makes...

    Comptine's Swedish Glog 2016

Weekly update time!    I prefer doing weekly updates, this way I can go back next year and have a look to see what I did and how fast the plants grew etc.    This happened to my large Aji Oro Rocoto plant, it was hit by spider mites, and I could not get them under control, it was easier to just...

chinense The best tasting non-hot C.chinense ever - The Aji jobito

Mine were pretty fast to germinate, pretty much around the time all my other chinenses germinated. I'm only growing Margariteño and Jobito, so I can't speak for the other seeds.
