    Comptine's Swedish Glog 2016

Cheers! They really are flying along this year, I'm so pleased.      Thanks for popping in!     Yeah, I'm really excited about the Chinese Pot, I'm not sure what to expect as there really isn't much info on it out there on the web. Thanks for looking!     Haha, cheers, I had to have a plan...

    Comptine's Veggie Glog

Right! Last pictures!    Cherry tomatoes are flowering!   And setting fruit!   Got my small herb shelf here, basil and more corriander. As well as two sweet pepper plants I need to put down in my friend's allotment.   Got a tomato sucker planted in some soil an the left. Middle is a left over...

    Comptine's Swedish Glog 2016

I just got caught up with your glog! So far both look the same XD Yeah, no, mine dropped a few flowers first, but now it's in crazy production mode. I'm really looking forward to trying a rocoto. The other plants are outside, and whilst they're budding up I haven't seen any flowers open yet. ...

Hey Cheri, how's the garden project coming along? I feel like it's time for an update!

    Comptine's Veggie Glog

Quick picture update time! Things are exploding! And Fruiting!!   I'm attempting to grow pumpkins in a sail bag. It's a 50 litre bag of peat, I've obviously made drainage holes in the bottom, and a few on the sides just in case. I'm not looking for a bumper harvest here, I'd be stoked with one...

    Comptine's Swedish Glog 2016

We're getting to the point in the season where the plants are just exploding with growth and it's all just so overwhelming. I'm not just growing peppers but a lot of other things too, that I need to keep an eye on. The peppers actually just mind themselves a lot of the time.    I'm calling it on...

    Comptine's Swedish Glog 2016

Hmm, well, looking at the map we're pretty much on the same level as the middle of Canada, so a lot further north than you are. We also have a lot of water surrounding us stabilising the temperature. I do imagine the sun is quite angled. Our summers rarely get hotter than 95F, and that's...

    Comptine's Swedish Glog 2016

Oh, that wasn't to encourage pods, I just want the plant to look a little bushier.

2016 is Ohjay's year of the habanero

First pods seem to often be a little off, be it the shape or heat not living up to what it should be. My understanding is that later in the season you get pods that look they way they are supposed to. Do the other hand grenade habs look like they should?

Stickman's 2016 Gochu Glog- Transplanting is Finished

Sounds like Gochujang is a very complex flavour, I'll definitely have a look out for it. Looks like there will be some experimenting with Korean food in the near future. How is Korean on the vegetarian front?        Haha, I've heard that the Tikki Masala was an English invention. I always...

    Comptine's Swedish Glog 2016

My Aji Oro Rocoto was growing it's branches a bit too densely, sort of blocking off the sun to one another, so I had a crack at training them yesterday.      And after only a day I'm getting this xD   I think we may finally have a fruit set on this one, but I'm not calling it yet.      Hmm'...

Stickman's 2016 Gochu Glog- Transplanting is Finished

I tried a different browser, it gets to the page but says recipe not found strangely enough.    Actually, I like fish and chips xD But I think that might be about the only English dish that was a favourite when I lived there. Butter in ice cream? That's a new one, seems a bit odd.

Oh, I love both Italian and Greek, but I'm with you on variety. I'm quite fond of japanese and indian food myself, lately more of the latter.    I'll have to keep an eye out for the Korean spices next time I'm in one of those. Hmm, neither of those links seem to be working for me.

    Comptine's Swedish Glog 2016

Right, a brief picture update today. I didn't snap pictures of all plants, but a few.    They never look much bigger every time I look at them, but when comparing pictures they do seem to grow.    The greenhouse chinenses. Still a little overwatered, but I'm trying to be good and avoid it.   ...

Stickman's 2016 Gochu Glog- Transplanting is Finished

I'd love to swap things later, but lets not count our chickens before they've hatched. I didn't have the best growing season last year, mest chinenses didn't produce at all. Now, it was a terrible year for growing, but I'm still on the cautious side. The annuums and baccatums are doing much...

    Trident's Bonnets 2016

Ah, I'm sorry about the weather turning bad, we've had unexpectedly good weather here, so I just assumed yours would be twice as good, it normally is. I'm glad you're close to getting fruit though. Good on the BBQ, everything tastes better when it's been on a grill.

    Comptine's Veggie Glog

Ah, a month behind isn't too bad. Absolutely, I love free stuff, most of the time it actually works better than the stuff you pay for. I think it might be because you have little expectations for it and when it works it's brilliant. Ah, could be 3x6, I'm terrible at eyeing measurements. It's...

I'm really sorry to hear that. Was there nothing left to salvage? If you had some bits left of the stem you could maybe put them in water and they might give off new roots?

Looking good Rick! I'm glad you've been able to start planting out, your plants will explode with growth soon. I'm really looking forward to seeing the fruit your gochus produce, I don't think I've heard of a single variety before.
