    Comptine's Swedish Glog 2016

Yeah, not the ideal climate for pepper growing, but I make do. How do you mean with the greenhouse temps?    If I understand it correctly you guys don't go below freezing much at all, so you should be able to grow peppers all year round?

    tsurrie's 2016 glog

I'm glad you can finally plant out after that weird snow you had. We had hail and a bit of snow too last day of April, and then BAM summer was just here all of a sudden in May. Noticed the bean section in the bottom, what sorts are you growing?

Ah, you learn something new every day! Thanks guys, I didn't realise mulch cooled as well. I always thought it was mainly for retaining moisture and feeding the soil (depending on what sort of mulch you use), with the addition of sometimes keeping weeds out.

Forgive my ignorance, but how does it help not mulching now?

Right, I see. We got hit with quite the heatwave about a week ago, I would have thought you'd get similar weather. I do hope this summer is better, last summer which was my first time growing was a little discouraging.

Cheers John! How's your grow coming along? Haven't seen an update from you in a while now. All well I hope.

    Comptine's Swedish Glog 2016

Yes, there are two windows, one of which is automatic, but when it gets really warm I just leave the door fully open.    The mix is new for this year, and I put very little in. The blood meal and bat guano are about a teaspoon per pot (9 litres for most plants), maybe two teaspoons of bone...

    Comptine's Swedish Glog 2016

Thank you! Yup, those are polycarbonate panels, we had an option to go for glass, and whilst it looks nicer it's not ideal for the plants. I'm glad we went with plastic when we bought it last year. A green house really does extend the season, and it allows me to grow crops that would normally...

    Comptine's Veggie Glog

Damn hayfever though, can't smell anything as soon as I go outside. It sure is pretty. I'm looking forward to the fruit, forever forward thinking.      Haha, good thing you found it now! I pretty much only grow edible stuff. My mum does the flowers, but I honestly have no interest in them. I...

    Community Lindberg Seed Grow

I managed to snag a picture of my two Margariteños and one of a repotted Jobito.   These are the two Margariteños, they were put in the same pot because space yo. It's a 14 litre pot, which is plenty for both.    This is one of my Jobitos in a 3 litre air pot.

    Comptine's Swedish Glog 2016

The weather has been absolutely beautiful here in Sweden, so I keep finding excuses to be outside (read potting things up etc.)   This jungle has become a tad bit smaller as I've potted up and moved most of my chinenses into the greenhouse. From my experience last year, they did not do well in...

    Comptine's Veggie Glog

May kicked off with beautiful weather here in Sweden, full sun and temps getting close to 20C, night temps have been 4C at the lowest. I've had my plants spent the nights in the conservatory now. Our last frost was supposed to be May 1, and the forecast for the next 10 days looks lovely. Things...

Good plan on the screws, the clips really do suck.

A tip is to put in a few extras of those metal thingies that hold in the panels. Even with 4 on each side I've had wind blow out my panels, and it's a pain. The shelving looks really good! Do you intend to just use the greenhouse for small plants before plant out and not grow anything there in...

    Too Early For Next Season?

It's never too early to start planning next years grow. Summer is a great season to acquire seeds, everyone will have a flesh stock then, and setting up trades is cool too. I've got at least 20 peppers planned for next year, many just didn't make the cut this year but I really want to grow...

    D3's 2016 Growlog

Look like the greenhouse we built last year. I agree, it was hell. The screws break when you try to screw the bolts in too tight. The company we bought it off messed up royally, so we didn't get all the parts we needed, they were instead shipped out over the course of 2 months, they continued to...
