Is anyone growing the Purple Bhut this year. This is actually one of the most beautiful pepper plants I have ever seen. And I am very excited to see if I get purple flowers when the time comes.
Purple Bhut
Plenty of seed sources here in the US. Buckeye Pepper, Refining Fire Chilies, Puckerbutt " Expensive". And shipping only takes a couple days. The only peppers I order from overseas are one's I cannot find in the US.
Bug B Gone. Its the only thing that works both short and long term. Insecticidal soap will leave a disgusting film that just builds and builds. Eventually becoming like sticky soda all over your plants. And it really sets them back. And you will have to continually use it as it only works short...
Fox Farm makes great nutes. But you should test and make sure pH is at a proper level before feeding. The same goes for earth juice. The starting pH is largely dependent on the water your using. RO water will have a low starting pH and charcoal ion filtered will have a high starting pH. Your...

I use the double cup method as well. I emailed back and fourth with khang about when to transplant. Here is my Golden Bhut that will be potted up tomorrow.
You can see the roots coming out of the bottom.
Nice story, sounds like myself a couple years back. This time around trust what people say. Miracle Grow is great for a flower garden. But in my experience MG is just death to peppers. Don't get me wrong the plants themselves will flourish. But at the end of the grow season when time is up...
That looks to me like bacterial leaf spot. Remove all infected plants away from non infected plants. Cut the leaves on infected plants and leave the baby leaves for photosynthesis. But the best thing to do is throw the infected ones out and start over again. It's sad but they are infectious to...
It does cause a slight physical pain. But once you do you it gets easier. And then when you see how it just makes the plant kick into high gear, the pain goes away.
