indoor Indoor growing VS outdoor growing

Last year I started the seedlings inside under a HPS lamp (was all I had easy access to, I know its not ideal for the younger plants) and I kept them there until I thought they were ready to put re-potted and put outside. Heres a load of photos from last year if you're interested ...

    Growing olives

I have seen some potted plants heavily covered in leaves, but they were very old trees so yeah unfortunately it might be difficult to do it regularly. If you had a tree you could do it as a one off I'd guess? @CraigZee I wish it grew as a class B weed where I am

    Growing olives

Yeah I know that they are slow growing, which is why i was looking for one that is a few years old at least. That FAQ page is pretty useful, gives a decent amount of background information, plenty of recipes as well as info on pickling. Quite sad really! I'd happily take one of those off of...

    Growing olives

Ahh I see, thanks for the link much appreciated. I've just been looking at prices for some of the more mature trees, jeez they don't have a small price tag!

    Growing olives

I did see the little tree in Wilkinsons the other day which got me to thinking about them! I might have to nip down in a minute, they should be open until 6 :) Tea from the leaves huh? sounds interesting, I'll have to see if i can find much other info on that.

    Progress so far

After a late start; towards the end of April, here are how things are looking: Super chilli: Some are just starting to ripen up, although the pods look quite small. My little helper: Not sure what this plant is, just bought it labeled as a chilli plant: Scotch Bonnet: And my...

health Immature pods producing black spots

Fair enough, that seems like a logical answer. I'm just surprised because the weather here over the past couple of weeks has been fairly overcast, or would this be the result of a more prolonged exposure to direct sunlight?

health Immature pods producing black spots

Hey all, So this maybe a stupid question with a real blatant answer but this morning I noticed that some of very small pods on one of my super chilli plants are starting to turn black, as opposed to the other 5 plants whose pods are just light green. I tried to scratch it off, in-case it was...

Something finds my plants quite tasty

After a late start to my season, things are going pretty well. Pods are starting to show on the majority. However I went out this morning and found a few fair sized holes that have appeared overnight, here are a few pictures. Super chilli: One of the first pods now that the flower has popped...

    seeds Help Germinating....

+1 on this...at a guess I got about an 90% germ rate. Only differences were that I used a sealed, small plastic box and sat it on-top of my wireless router :D Either way the principles of it are the same.

Well that worked out well to favor you and your pepper growing! Keep us posted with your results please, it is quite interesting to see how the differing variables affect germ rate etc :)
