I have seen some potted plants heavily covered in leaves, but they were very old trees so yeah unfortunately it might be difficult to do it regularly. If you had a tree you could do it as a one off I'd guess? @CraigZee I wish it grew as a class B weed where I am :neutral:

Yeah I know that they are slow growing, which is why i was looking for one that is a few years old at least. That FAQ page is pretty useful, gives a decent amount of background information, plenty of recipes as well as info on pickling. Quite sad really! I'd happily take one of those off of...

Fair enough, that seems like a logical answer. I'm just surprised because the weather here over the past couple of weeks has been fairly overcast, or would this be the result of a more prolonged exposure to direct sunlight?

After a late start to my season, things are going pretty well. Pods are starting to show on the majority. However I went out this morning and found a few fair sized holes that have appeared overnight, here are a few pictures. Super chilli: One of the first pods now that the flower has popped...

+1 on this...at a guess I got about an 90% germ rate. Only differences were that I used a sealed, small plastic box and sat it on-top of my wireless router :D Either way the principles of it are the same.

Well that worked out well to favor you and your pepper growing! Keep us posted with your results please, it is quite interesting to see how the differing variables affect germ rate etc :)
