Is the cold weather causing this?

Well, in some parts. It was a twee frosty on the roof this morning but still warm enough in the garden for no damage. But the drooping and such definately sounds like cold damage. The plants shut down the branches in the low 30s. They don't die, just get dormant.

    Marianne 2015-2016 Grow

I finally remembered to take a picture, here's the F2 fruit. I'll let you know when I have seeds from it. It is bigger than a baseball, so nice sized. Also, I was reading around on Peru Yellow peppers and realized that ALL sources note them as growing pendant, but mine are growing...

indoor Mold problems with potted indoor pepper plants

No, not normal. That means there's lots of rot for fungus to eat. My guess is that you're not trying to experiment with complex organic gardening indoors in pots, you just want to keep your plant alive this winter so you can plant it out in the spring. How is your plant doing through all of...

indoor Mold problems with potted indoor pepper plants

Yeah, of course. If it were outside, absolutely. This is inside in a small pot that he's not trying to build a food web in and the fungal part of the balance is out of control, indicating that the other parts of the soil system aren't working, likely because they aren't there. This is a...

Spray with neem then let it get as dry as your plant can tolerate before you water again. Edit: thanks autocorrect.

    Marianne 2015-2016 Grow

I love being able garden year-around. I would go nuts living in the snow. Really looking forward to my current crop, as I've got some newbies like Aji Peru yellow & Aji Benito that I'm anxious to taste. Summers here can be so nasty. I don't use shade cloth because I never know when a...

    Marianne 2015-2016 Grow

Enjoy your seasons up there! I appreciate the seed offer but I'll pass. We won't eat very many of them and they seem to truly hate Phx summers. All chinense plants I have struggle like no other so until I figure out how to grow them here, no superhots. I do have seeds for a few supers but...

    Marianne 2015-2016 Grow

Unusually cool week, lows down into the high 30s, but no damage. No chiles set this week but set ones are growing ok and everything looks fine. A few aphid colonies appeared but I think I got them stamped out. Things are chugging right along! Picked about 12 peppers this week, not bad...

Nice, glad to hear that full plants can tolerate transplanting.

    Peppers vs Tomatoes

Yeah, peppers have a bigger goldylocks zone. They can take higher temps (usually) and are more forgiving on the watering. I've found that aphids like peppers better than tomatoes but could be an anomaly. Also, they look much less ragged at the end of the season. What you're describing with...
