Anyone try growing Crunchy Green peppers?

...no one has tried these? I guess I'll have to try them, for science of course!

Anyone try growing Crunchy Green peppers?

They're not bells, at least the picture on the vendor's website shows them as being large Anaheim or cayenne types and describes them as being good for fresh eating. I bet they should be nice roasted too. I wasn't sure if anyone had given them a whirl this year and found that they did well...

Anyone try growing Crunchy Green peppers?

I got a pack of Crunchy Green pepper seeds from pepperlover as a freebie and I was curious--has anyone grown these? Did you like it? Tasty pods? Hardy plant? I have a 5ish gallon pot that I want to replant with something hardy and useful as a sweet pepper and was considering going with this...

heat Seven Pod is the "World's Hottest" and it was developed by Amerindians.

No, they originated in the Americas. The archeological record is pretty clear. After the Columbian Exchange, they did spread pretty far but there wasn't some secret pre-existing pocket of the in India. The situation you posit is the least likely of all to have happened and has no basis in...

    Basil

I grew Red Freddy in a shallow pot in sun for 75% of the day. I had the plants crammed in there, maybe 14 in all. It got up to 117f in the shade so no telling how hot it was there in the sun, with the pot on concrete. Produced like a champ & still going, great strong basil taste. Bugs barely...

What tomatoes are you growing in 2016?

I'm growing Persuasion, Tiren f1, German Lunchbox and a volunteer. Right now I'm finishing up a raised bed to plant them in. I have a Roma going on a pot so I get toms in Jan/Feb for making pizza sauce. The volunteer survived the summer (!!!!!!!) and has set a few. It grew in mostly...

What weird weather lately, keeps swinging between average temps & dead of winter temps. Oh well. I'm finally starting to pick stuff, got 5 Thai chiles and my 4th or 5th handful of padrons today. Yay! Forgot to take a picture. My Aji plants are finally doing well. My Christmas bell set all...

Growing Manzanos in a hot climate

The day he suggested that variety was the day I ordered the seeds. Clearly, he knows much better than I do so I made the most of the information. So far, so good!

Growing Manzanos in a hot climate

I tried canarios this summer, they bit the dust at 110 F. Before that, they weren't growing much a over 105 F. Now I have Ecuadorian red rocotos, they are growing faster in the cooler weather but hung in there at 107 F with minimal problems & slower growth. Smokemaster suggested I try them...

    Basil

Basil is great, I have 4 varieties. I've noticed it is a great trap crop for caterpillars...they just love mine. I grew a very hardy Italian type this year--nothing better than chopped basil on pasta.

    Marianne 2015-2016 Grow

Ugh, it has been in the 40s for the past few nights so my growing season is probably winding to a close. Normally it is a few weeks longer but we've swung from +107f to 46f in about 3 weeks. I did get a decent set, now that I actually looked at my Thai chiles, I'd say I got around 250 pods...

    pubescens Crossing Capsicum Pubescens

You should have some success. They seem to be like some of the other solance family plants & want companions, even though it isn't completely necessary. Keep us updated on how it turns out, sounds like a neat project.
