Maybe high in nitrogen too? They grow fast because i think the heavy clay provides good drainage and aeration? I saw a graph and it shows low levels of magnesium for the east coast and the south but i could be wrong on this. is there fast acting bonemeal that i can buy?
Wilt very badly. Somehow my drainge wasn't good at all and it pretty much drowned in standing water for who knows how long because i went out of town that day.
Hello all. My coolapeno seems like a loss but instead of throwing it away it might be possible for me to save it by planting it in the ground. Now our soil is a hard clay. Should I just take the container mix i made for my coolapeno pepper plant and mix it with the clay dirt that I'll be digging...
Yes. It liked being topped off. It's pretty happy. I do a spray everytime i water now. A spray of epsom salt and water in a mister when it looks a bit yellow and a calcium spray as well.
Update 7/6/17. Got a new habanero pepper plant. It's going through some stress right now from the transplanting. Also my Coolapeno is a loss. I went out of town that day and came home to it sitting in water. It was too late. Anyways I included figuring why the hell not. Enjoy!

Ah! ok. Do you mix gypsum with water? also i looked at the prices for calcium nitrate and it is just too much money for that amount. no offense at all, it's just that a 40 pound bag of gypsum would be a better deal for me. Also Gypsum won't raise or lower soil ph right?
Right. Thats way too much nitrogen though. 15% nitrogen is too much for me.. But I do understand that it does have a lot of calcium. Doesn't gypsum have a ton of calcium in it as well?
I put some burpees tomato and veg fertilizer that has 5% calcium. its a granular fertilizer. i have some egg shells down but they won't save it. i do however plan to put a egg shell in the oven then make it into a powder. Whats this calcium nitrate and what do i do with it? will the calcium...
