Capsicum rhomboideum. Smaller seeds than even C.lanceolatum!

Next season will be a challenge not only to grow some of the hardest peppers to grow, but to also document it all and bagging off pepper blooms and plants that are one of a kind verses 4 or more of one species, I will make photo's as they pop, even though they pretty much look like each other as...

    chinense dud of a bhut?

Ya its like eating a store bought tomato, verses a nice home grown, even bell peppers will taste different from one you can grow at home and ever since the monsanto has cracked the genome code for peppers I can bet we better look at our green veggies we buy at the store, but thats another story...

    Shipping to the usa (seeds)

I have gotten seeds sent to me from as far as Australia by simple bubble wrap envelope marked fragile with no problem along with a simple card with seed packs in it and just a plain envelope. Sending out of the US I have only had problems in Africa the mailing system is messed up there. I did...

    Pots

Some where here, they show how to make your own fabric pots/bags up to 10 or more gal/liter in size that are pretty cheap to make. Also just about any durable plastic/ rubber container that didn't have any toxic crap in it can be used I got 10 - 5 gallon buckets for free as they were in a...

Capsicum rhomboideum. Smaller seeds than even C.lanceolatum!

I could ask if they will take a bank note as they are a good vendor, right now though I'm waiting on some wild seeds to be sent to me. As I don't know what species they might be, I'm waiting to buy anything till I get them.

    some kind of moruga?

That would make it easier to tell just what it might be, as a ripe pod will be fully developed and will have its ripe color by then and will show off any bumps, spikes and waves it might have. There are a few photo's of ripe moruga and brain strains two of the hottest varieties of the Trinidad...

plant thought I planted a bhut

Yeah from the sites bird pepper,  I'd say that is what you have. there are a good number of small pointy peppers that are called bird peppers, it does look like a tabasco to a degree but they are a little small for tabasco unless it is the wild variety of it.

Capsicum rhomboideum. Smaller seeds than even C.lanceolatum!

As I don't use Paypal, I'm stuck to bank notes and personal checks, so that limits me to where I get my seeds, but I plan to get several varieties from Judy too bad that she doesn't have the Rhomboideum, but Rainbow Chili seeds carries them along with C.tovarii and others, so I might order some...

    PeriPeri's Grow 13/14/15/2016: South African

Hi Lourens, I will be downsizing the garden and moving many of my peppers and veggies into large containers they will require more water but will be easier to grow in as I won't have to pull weeds and the plants will be more at my level. I told myself that I would do just a wild grow on my...

drying Overstuffed Dehydrator- 2016 PersonalBest stacking trays

WoW!! you would think with that many peppers there would be a lot of juice at the bottom where your fan is at,  I have two dehydrators one is a cheapo for small amounts and one that I built that looks some what like the big commercial unit,  mine works great for drying 30 pounds of cut apples...

    some kind of moruga?

Well its a bit hard to say as a close up of the pod or a photo of a ripe pod would be the best help, not all scoripons have tails and Moruga's some times don't. They don't look like a 7 pot/pods though,  so I would go with the moruga or at the very least a Trinidad Scorpion variety.

    PeriPeri's Grow 13/14/15/2016: South African

Hey Charles, It just wouldn't  be spring without hail, it could have been worse and had 70 mph straight line winds to go with the Hail. I get a good does every other year as we didn't get anything but frozen slosh I will have to make sure the plants are covered so that the hail won't kill out my...

    Help Me Name This Pepper!!!

I like Joe's answer I haven't heard his name used in a long time, to bad you don't have a whole plant filled with them, the last one looks really crazy with all the bump and spikes.

    Your thoughts on this one.

Yah they remind me of jonahs also, which is a very good pepper but its not a moruga. Off phenotype would be a better word than not stable which would mean it was a cross that is still stabilizing off phenotype mean that its not throwing out pods that look like they should. If they are Jonah's...

Help with ID'ing this awesome tasting pepper

Some of the red peprika's have a nice sweet flavor and some good heat, and point upward,  but like you said its not a golden bell.

    Is this a habanero?

Yeah they're a type of habenero, but not a caribbean red hab. Still they are nice big ones, so if you like it save the seeds for next season, they could be a type of Congo hab.

    Any idea?

To bad you didnt get what you ordered, I would go with Judy at pepperlover.com also. She just put up her new list of peppers. Some like the Devil's Brain and Devil's heart are some she is working with, also she has some reapers along with Moruga and brain strains. If it was legal we would put...

    Need a little help

Live and learn, to bad that you had to waste your time on something that wasn't what you ordered, The best Vendor here I would say Judy's at pepperlover.com, but that just my two cents, wouldn't hurt to look at all the goodies she has.

pod supposed to be a ghost, obviously not.

Yeah if you like what you have you can save the seeds they might give you some nice crosses from the seeds, if the mother plants don't make it I save seeds no matter what, and they have never let me down when it comes to being hot and having lots of flavor. Judy at pepperlover.com has some very...
