    "Chocolate" Reaper growing log ....

nice looking plant, its funny that when it threw out the choco pods that most of the pods shape were so different almost like a F2 which would show a expression of many pod shapes, but even the reaper had a lot of off phenol pods at first.

What peppers should I have a friend send me from Paraguay and India

I don't know about India as there are so many varieties that come from India, Paraguay might have a few interesting varieties and maybe a wild one or two I'd ask them what varieties are being found at the Market and go from there.

    Pimenta de Neyde x Bubblegum 7-pot, F1

Very interesting, I favor the last one with even the stem turning red, the pods remind me more of a annuum than C. chinense pretty cool none the less. It will be interesting to see how it is down the road about F6 or more.

    Christopher Phillips Leukemia Fund

Hi Nigel, the Methotrexate I recognize quite well.  I sure wish I could donate stem cells and bone marrow to him, I would gladly go through it again like I did for my sister. Chemo can sure mess you up, the least little thing can cause a lot of problems and its very hard to get over it. Is he...

I'm not on face book, so I don't know if he has been updating on what's going on. I know He's been on chemo treatments and I know just what he's been...

Sure thing I have some C. lanceolatum seeds on the way, I'll PM you which is what I should have done in the first place. Boy I'm glad that my day is almost over, I had a crappy Day at the VA hospital. I grew some purple jalapeno's that looked a lot like that one, I didn't like the taste as it...

    PeriPeri's Grow 13/14/15/2016: South African

Well I went back and got caught up on all the back post, I really like the flavor of Rocoto's myself they can be a little hard at times to get them to set pods especially during hot months where Temps go over 80F. for me that means late spring and fall for pod set, I have looked for a long time...

One pepper everyone has to try

Like its been said there are so many good and great varieties one could use, some with heat that would melt your face. I'm rather fond of the wild species they are not as hot as some, although you can use a blend of hotter varieties.  To make enough sauce for sale though, it would take a great...

    PeriPeri's Grow 13/14/15/2016: South African

Hey Hey , almost missed your glog, the past week we had 5 inches of rain and 30 and 40F temps here in Missouri, my season is all done what a crappy season we had. I got a late start and was hit with blight, nematodes, and a damn mole that found his way in to my raised beds. As my soil is very...

New camera plus BG7 yellow flower

Nice, I've been eyeing a Sanyo which is priced at $179.00 not the best by any means, but a lot better than the dead $50. cam that now sets on a shelf.  But I really want a good laptop which might keep me from buying the new Cam.

This guy eats 5lbs of peppers a day

I didn't see any ghost or 7 pods, so heat wise a lot of members here could beat him, but still 5 pounds of hot peppers a day is a lot of peppers, I'd like to see him try eating 5 pounds of ghost peppers a day, I think he would spend a lot of time on the toilet and eating lots of ice-cream if its...
