When I soaked seeds in hydrogen peroxide, I used 3 tsp 3% peroxide per quart of water.  If you used straight 3% hydrogen peroxide it might have damaged the seeds.

I would totally go for any of those but I've already got about twice as many sprouts as I have room for =.=

I definitely agree with this. It's even worse when I got no mail yesterday and was checking til 5 pm

So is space the only issue with starting seeds in larger pots? Next year I'll definitely start in bigger pots and leave them there for a good while til moving them outside

Hello everyone. Seedlings are off to a good start, many have true leaves starting. They all currently in the Dixie cups that I used for germination, and I'm wondering when to move them up to regular sized Solo cups or similarly sized plant pots. I figure I'll at least wait for one set of true...

It will only take effect when you plant the seeds from that plant for next season. The pods on the current plant are determined only by the current plant

I've heard you can check liquids, even alcohol. Produce might be another story though. If it's just seeds you want maybe you could keep the seeds in a bottle of water and call it some kind of pepper infused water. The seeds should be fine for the few hours they'd be in the water

Sprouts don't need the same temperatures as germinating seeds for one, and at least with my setup just the lights puts the temps over 70 so that's all I need. Your setup might be different so it never hurts to do some experimenting. As for the thermometer, I just have an infrared one so it can...

I used a miniature food processor. I wish I would have had a clean coffee grinder to use but it wasn't a problem to sift out the seeds and larger pieces with a sieve

Once they sprout you don't want the heat. I've heard it encourages them to be leggy

Checked luggage should be alright, but not so sure about carry on. They aren't liquids or gels though so that will help. The tsa website doesn't list solid foods specifically which seems to say it would be alright

A little update. I was able to get the seeds off of all of the plants using the above method. Letting them soak made it pretty easy. They're all standing relatively straight now, just waiting for true leaves. Thanks everyone

Similar to what I posted in another topic, many of my varieties germinated in only a few days, but my jalapenos, Tobago seasoning, and aji chuncho haven't had a single successful germination. It's only been a week though so I'm not too worried, but I have started a few more of each to be safe.

My seeds have not behaved as expected at all so far. My scorpions and ghosts have mostly all germinated 4 days in, but the jalapeno seeds I expected to germinate quickly haven't. For the varieties that haven't germinated at all (3 total) I started a few using the paper towel bag method to see if...
