    nutrients Yellow leaves. Nute burn?

Just to throw an alternative solution out there, have you considered putting your plant into some new premium potting mix with timed release fertiliser? You could lift the plant out of the pot, shake it and then soak the roots in water and massage the out potting mix out of the root ball as...

SuburbanFowl 2019 Glog - First grow from seed

Well I cannot reccomend the hippy seed company enough. I haven't had much luck with the reapers or yellow fataliis yet but both of those can be very hard to germinate.   On the left are the fatalii gourmet jigsaws and on the right are red 7 pot brainstrains. 12 seeds were planted and 1 of each...

    Seed Identification?

Thanks. The vendor also sells rocotos so I assume they are rocotos. I'll try to germinate them.

    Seed Identification?

A free bag of seeds was included with an order from a local vendor. It's hard to say what the seeds are but I can't figure out what these little black seeds are, does anyone know what they could be? Surely they can't be c. annuum, c. chinense or c. baccatum.     Thank you

SuburbanFowl 2019 Glog - First grow from seed

Thank you Paul. This is my first true grow from seed, it's exciting to watch the entire process instead of buying plants from a store. Small update. I couldn't cull any peppers so they have all been replanted into 200ml double cups. All with pure sieved chunky coco, no fine coco at all. Even...

Bacterial leaf spot? Too high EC?

The second true set of leaves on the lemon drop look gnarly and I considered cutting them off but decided that they will stay. The logic here being that since the leaves haven't fallen off, the plant can still use them.

Bacterial leaf spot? Too high EC?

It turns out you were right. My theory is that the EC was too high. The problem started when they went from being fed at 0.6 EC to one feeding at 0.8 EC then one at 1.0 EC. Also perhaps a little bit of nutrients splashed on the plants when they were fed at some point.       The EC has been...

Bacterial leaf spot? Too high EC?

Thanks so much solid. This goes back to the post you quoted saying I'm overthinking. Time will tell.

Bacterial leaf spot? Too high EC?

So flushing with Ph'ed tap water should be fine?   Here is how they look 1 and a half days later.   The caramel bhutlah is starting to green up a bit but it's still yellow in patches.     The lemon drop looks very pale on the new growth.

    lighting Sufficient Lighting?

The seedlings look leggy but that could be because they have been on the windowsill. Try waiting a few days and seeing what happens.   You could add supplemental lighting with some 23W CFL lights which will help a lot. I grew a cayenne to the point where it had buds and was forking using only...

Bacterial leaf spot? Too high EC?

Thanks for your responses and much needed reassurance. This is probably a case of helicopter parenting.   I will lower to EC back to 0.8 which the plants responded well to. They probably don't need to be fed any higher until roots are coming out the bottom of the cups.   With how fast the coco...

Bacterial leaf spot? Too high EC?

Thanks for your reply. They are in pure coco coir which has been sieved to remove the fine coco. Because the coco is so coarse it dries out quickly. In the higher resolution photos it looks like it could be nutrient burn so I might try bringing them down to 0.6 ec or 300ppm. Perhaps 500 ppm is...

Bacterial leaf spot? Too high EC?

They were fed with an ec of 1.0 for the first time yesterday.

Bacterial leaf spot? Too high EC?

Hi there. I'm growing plants under 2 54w t5 lights in coco coir. They're fed every 2 to 3 days when the coco gets dry on top. Today I noticed some black spots/ tears on two plants. Could this perhaps be bacterial leaf spots? My other smaller plants are fine and there is a similar sized...

SuburbanFowl 2019 Glog - First grow from seed

More seeds have germinated and there are still about 15 - 20 more varieties that haven't sprouted yet. The seeds I ordered have arrived and have been sown: Fatalii Gourmet Jigsaw Yellow Fatalii Carolina Reaper 7 Pot Brainstrain Red I only have room for about 15 plants outside so some of these...

SuburbanFowl 2019 Glog - First grow from seed

After not having much luck with germination a few seeds have finally sprouted. I thought they wouldn't sprout so ordered more seeds. A few days later they started sprouting. That's okay, one can never have too many seeds.   Babies   Over the past couple of days some seeds have sprouted. 2...

SuburbanFowl 2019 Glog - First grow from seed

Unfortunately the reaper dampened off.  As soon as a seed starts hooking it needs to be removed from the humidity dome and placed under lights. Lesson learned.   The seedlings that are starting to grow their second set of true leaves are now getting 0.8 EC of nutrients at each feeding.   Two...
