My apologies for bringing up an old post. I'm amazed by your coco grow logs and will be using your techniques with my plants this year.
Not sure if you still post on here or not but hopefully you see this if you do.
Do you feed your plants at 700 ppm after they sprout or do you start lower...
Thank you Paul.
Small but very exciting (for me) update.
A Carolina Reaper from WHP has finally emerged. This seed was originally sowed 16 days ago. It will be left in the heated propagator overnight because there are 2 more seeds in the coco coir but if they don't show up tomorrow this cup...
Yes that's my fault, I didn't mention the double cup setup
Thanks, that's interesting. Yes I learned everything about growing in coco coir from weed forums because they're full of information. There are a small minority of people that grow using a lower EC but some people push it really...
Yes this is a good point. When they're being fed I water until 20% runoff, empty that run off and then let them sit for 5-10 minutes and the remaining runoff gets emptied. Then they go back under the lights after that there may be a small amount of run off over a few hours but the runoff level...
After waiting for a very long time some of my seeds have been germinated so here is my glog.
I am running a small grow tent with 4 T5 double bulbs at 55w each.
I removed one of the bulbs because the fixture runs hot. There is a small fan blowing on the plants 24/7 and the lighting is also 24/7...
Thanks. Yes, coco coir tends to hold on to liquid. The solo cups have adequate drainage and hydroton in the bottom cup which means the cups don't sit in run off. The run off is also emptied after each feeding.
No algae is building on the surface which hopefully means they're not being overfed...
My seedlings have leaf curl on their first true leaves. Is it normal for them to look like this?
I have a 4 x 55w T5 setup with the light 12 inches above the seedlings and an oscillating fan blowing on them constantly.
I removed one of the middle bulbs because I thought the heat could be...
Sadly it's not a ghost but whatever it is you have an interesting phenotype on your hands. The stripes are peculiar, almost like when jalapenos get stretch marks. It's a cool pepper.
