    Lespaulde's 2020

Apologies for the long radio silence, but I was away for about 2 weeks and rather busy in the week(s) leading up to it, but that of course didn't mean that the tent was neglected. Luckily this also means that progress has been steady, and the 2nd round of seeds dropped just earlier today, so now...

A Fishy Winter Grow: Stuff in a Tent

That's an awesome pod indeed, 'fish! Well done and I hope it lives up to your expectations. Given how many people were saying it's a snacking pepper, I was surprised by its spice level which I'd rank as hot. I'd be curious to hear how yours is as it definitely looks spot on in terms of pheno...

A Fishy Winter Grow: Stuff in a Tent

Yeah man, digging that dual light setup as well - this should really speed things up and you'll be machete'ing through the jungle before you know it! xD And I know what you mean with Annuums being favorite in terms of flavor; I hope to know whether Rocotos are my cup of tea after this season...

    CaneDog 2020

Going to be some good reading all around, awesome tests to be doing! In fact, I do remember reading your posts on changing location Paul which inspired me to try it since I had been waiting 3+ weeks at that point already. For now, going to get comfy and watch Sent from my LYA-L29 using Tapatalk

    CaneDog 2020

I know what you mean CD, when many varieties pop quickly, waiting for a few cultivars to get their act together drives me nuts! This being my first year with Rocoto, I definitely had to practise some mindfulness etc to keep calm, because those buggers are some princesses. Only by power cycling...

    PaulG 2020

Looking good Paul, those plants are just happily trucking long, taking in on all the great care they're getting! :) How's your winter this year? We've maybe had a handful of freezing days so far, so it's really out of whack over here... Sent from my LYA-L29 using Tapatalk

Next to My Chair - A Winter One

That is one impressive plant Unc, I bet you'll be enjoying those pods for longer than it took to make them! Curious to see the final root system of infamous #13 on its final day, how often are you having to water these days? Sent from my LYA-L29 using Tapatalk

    Lespaulde's 2020

Oh my god, we finally have lift-off! :drunk: The rocoto Cristobal finally popped, so the new method on wet cotton, while cycling the heating mat off and on, seems to be working! For those with a very keen eye, yes, that's an additional Dorset Naga that also popped in the top row. :)...

Purple Thunder / Bhut Jolokia x (PdN x Bonda Ma Jacques)

Haha, not much protection needed up here in the North! xD My Bjh-2 is looking happy, and I'm very pleased with the coloring so far: Sent from my LYA-L29 using Tapatalk

    F*cking fungus gnats

May they burn in hell! I've used an apple cider vinegar trap (jar with lid with holes poked in it) which kills a good number of them. What I find worked best, at least in a grow tent, was to have a fan blowing on the plants for a day or 2. Depends totally on the size of your grow of course...

pruning To Prune or Not To Prune?

Agree with Karoo here, what you did already paid off and these are 'bout to explode with growth I reckon! :) Sent from my LYA-L29 using Tapatalk

    Lespaulde's 2020

Thanks Paul, indeed I was very happy to see him coming up finally! And your avalanche is what I was hoping for, but I guess it will have to be during the Annuum round 2 in about a month ;) Sent from my LYA-L29 using Tapatalk

    Lespaulde's 2020

Funny you say that, as I noticed it too but didn't think much of it - so you think it is a genetic phenotype showing? Never seen an actual pubescence in real life y.e.t., it's gotta happen soon though! Sent from my LYA-L29 using Tapatalk

    Lespaulde's 2020

Thanks Paul, and yes, days turn into weeks and weeks into months while you're waiting at this stage!      Haha, you won't believe it, but when I came into the office this morning, the Dorset Naga Orange (the originally planted one) finally popped:   28 days seems like a long time, even for...

    CaneDog 2020

I somehow feel you could host a TV show on growing peppers CD, with the amount of experiments you've got going on and the photographic skills you posses. Some type of Mythbusters-like show I'm thinking... ;) Truly a pleasure every time I stop by your glog and it's awesome seeing your grow up...
