Acid Reflux Damage (New Guy Here)

I haven't had any super hots yet, and the habs are still relatively hot but not THAT bad now.. I just haven't had any in a while, I'm waiting for all my peppers to start popping some pods out now.. but tabasco use to be nice a warm and sometimes a little hot for me.. but now it's honestly just...

    Is this powdery mildew?

yeah I have noticed that the plants that have already been affected by the edema get a little better, but not much better..they will kind of flatten out a little almost, but still be crinkely I guess if that makes sense.. or they are a little more "perky" might be a better way of saying it, but...

    Baker's Peppers 2012 GLOG

yeah that is really crazy, sooo many peppers, and they are getting really big! also how do you deal with the rain when you are trying to water the plants, or does the soil drain well enough (and I guess the heat helps a lot too) so that it doesn't really matter too much if it rains... oh and...

    seeds Mutant seedling

haha, that's a crazy plant, if it looks like it might make it you should just put it in a small pot for the heck of it and at least see how new leaves come and how it develops.. might come out as something cool.. but more likely will die eventually lol.. time will tell

    Is this powdery mildew?

Edema.. I've had problems with this, and even after correcting my watering so that they really dry out first, the tent I have just stays really humid even with a fan on all the time, and it venting a lot.. but its only another month and it's under control enough so that only some of the plants...

MGOLD86's GLOG, of sorts. NEW Billy Boy Douglah Review!

I don't mind the shout out Matt haha, but yeah those really looks great, it's amazing, I notice that my plants (like you have noticed with yours) all of a sudden really start taking off after a few weeks of slower steady growth, it's great when they get to that point. and I like the beginning...

    soil soil mixing

I don't know if you need more peat moss since I think... 70-80% I think it says,is peat moss already (in the Promix Bx) and since the pots are outside I would assume at some point, it might hold too much water unless you can keep the rain out in between watering.. that's just what I would...

    soil soil mixing

soo, yeah you did over all sorry to say it, even if you didn't get that really good price from a hydro store, the Agways around here which are not cheap still have the 4 cu ft for $25 like I stated above.. and yeah 10gallons is about 1.3 cu ft.. or close enough to 1.5, but it's still not 4 cu...

raised-bed Post your successful potting/raised bed mix recipe

I haven't had raised beds, but I am working on keeping the garden pretty loose and aerated this year too since I have really heavy/dark and rich soil, and I'm using that top soil and the compost from the leaf pile in the pots, but after trying what Baker's Peppers was saying about the pine bark...

    Promotion for HP22B

Thanks Habanero500 for the explanation, I didn't realize there was that much debate and interest in the Moruga blend, I've only really looked at the study from the chili institute that MRZ posted on here (I just wish I had gone there so I could have done some work with peppers haha) And I wasn't...

hmm, yeah I have .13333 cu ft in 1 gallon... so 1.3cu ft... so it's not the best deal, I got 4 cu ft of Perlite (or vermiculite, wish I could mix 2 cu ft of both) for $25 at Agway, oh well

    seeds Slow germination causes?

yeah, sorry I didn't see this before, but most people do 1 Tbs per cup of water while soaking the seeds, my first batch I wasn't too sure about it so I did 1tsp and left it for 24 hours, but I just started another set of 8 seeds that I just got in, and the last set I had and did 1Tbs.. it makes...

    Promotion for HP22B

hmm, so I should probably do some searching on this, but can someone just give me a quick answer for this one.. Wasn't the TS Moruga strain measured at 2million, even though that was just one pepper in that testing and not the average or anything, but I guess that wasn't added into the Guinness...

misc What is the super hottest pepper with a very short production period?

^^ (to synclinorium) actually, if you took one of the peppers that start out purple and mature to red/orange like the purple bhut I think, or the "pretty purple pepper" and cross it with a white pepper.. it might work, but yeah, you would have to try for a lonnggg time and even then it might not...

    seeds Slow germination causes?

yeah, this year I planted a tray in soaking for 2 hours.. then one tray for 24+ hours in just water for both of them.. then one for 4 hours with H2O2 and water, then 24 hours with H2O2 and water.. and did that for the last 2 trays.. I found that the H2O2 soaking for 24 hours works really well...

lol, just found this.. there are a ton of names.. but if these were not metioned yet.. and to go off of the general theme that a few people have put down.. The Pompeii Pepper a few others I guess Sunspot Pepper, or (color) Sunspot Pepper Quasar (doesn't really fit for a pepper, but they are...

    seeds Slow germination causes?

not sure what you mean, so you have seeds still in the pods and are trying to germinate them or something? because if they are just fresh pods with radicles from the seeds coming out, then either the pod isn't fresh or something, or the seeds should be dried out or your just seeing the placenta...
