  Have to disagree - it is not really fine or normal -- According to Garden Guides -     So it is not something you want happening - and as mentioned is normally caused by poor drainage and/or too much moisture. So best to either fix the soil drainage or water less.

Think it really depends on what area you live in as they usually use a local facility for growing the seedlings - so depends on which facility your nursery is stocked from.

Just a thought but it might also be that the orange Scotch Bonnets are ones that would have turned red when fully ripe and the orange stage was not the final ripened stage, thus the germination % of seeds may be lower than from a fully ripened pod.   But I'd agree the temp needs to be higher and...

Build it as large as you can --- if you build it small (ie. small greenhouse to store 20 or so plants) you'll wind up wishing you had built it larger when you run out of space before plants - and much easier to leave unused space inside than fit more in a too small of space !

  Actually the one you have is made to use a more concentrated solution so would mean less bottles. - It is really designed to be used only once in a while to inject the feed not to be used always as an injection system ( thus the feed/water switch ) - You would normally use this type of system...

  According to label but your injector is 1:350 not 1:100 so you would want to make your mix 3.5x as strong -- so 35 to 63 oz. per gallon of injection mix   EDITED to fix to 350:1 not 325:1

Just remember if doing it this way that you are only using FEED setting the once per week (or however many times you would normally give nutrients using your stock solution) not every time you water - If you are wanting to use feed setting all the time you will want to figure out how many...

  Could also be pest related -- ie. cut worms will wrap around the seedling and lop it off right around soil level !    

How far away are the parents ? - If the weather/ humidity there is different from where you are the hardening process should start over once you are there again anyway !!

Also - it is much easier to separate them while still just sprouts if there are several - the longer they grow the more the roots will wind around each other making separation without damage harder - so if planning to separate the earlier you get it done the better !   Here's a video that shows...

Not sure why you mention watering them !!  If you soak the seeds for a few hours before placing in the pod and the pod is already moist/expanded and are placed in a kit - there really is no need to water. ( the seeds will absorb all the needed water for starting when soaked to germ and sprout...

The 3-10 days is probably just for germination (i.e if you germinate in a paper towel you will see a sprout starting to emerge from the seed in about 3 - 10 days) If planting in soil you will not see germination for several more days since they take awhile to work through the soil.
