I like the cloth pot idea and the dirt mix sounds better than the store-bought variety. You mix it by hand (w/shovel) or you have the use of a small dozer like a bobcat?

storm passed 30 mins ago   Brain Strain Red w/ 3, what appear to be, late seedlings???  

moved the plants indoors none too soon. We just started getting hit by the outer edge of the storm coming up the East Coast of the U.S.     This super hot has really been growing good outdoors but I've had to bring it in fro the last 3-4 days due to outdoor maintenance & the current storm...

Thought about your GLOG in that its "bhut growing" weather in this heat :P There might be a heat advisory out up here in my area today. I've seen it written here that extreme variations breed extreme heat in pods.

Glad you're getting caught up w/ your garden. I've had some side issues interfere on my end as well. My building's maintenance schedule is forcing me to move my plants indoors temporarily which I'm not too happy about.   Anyway, can't wait to see some more pod porn in your GLOG this season

Me either. Got a pod from someone here at THP & sowed a few seeds. Its hot, VERY hot.

That Texas sun seems to really be doing the trick for you :shocked: In-ground grows are always a treat to watch since the plants can grow to their full potential. I like how you built frames w/ netting to protect them as well.

potted-up Yellow Brain Strain (front) & Two Barrackpores in same pot (rear) These are the largest containers that I use, although I have larger ones [but have found; last season that they are overly large & unnecessary based on observed root ball size at end of season]. I'll take some "side-on"...

That was one of the first pepper plants I grew that I overwintered. The one I had was hardy, IMO, but didn't have pubescens characteristics like that. It just kept putting out pods too :D You can only eat so many Dorset pods though :fireball:  unless you got your tolerance up there ;) I always...

Do you move them away from the grow light to the dimmer natural, mid-february light to keep them from growing too quickly?   ***edit- got my answer    

Astronomical Summer update ;) http://www.ncdc.noaa.gov/news/meteorological-versus-astronomical-summer   Assam & Red Brain Strain. These are the runts I was talking about. The Barackpore's that I have were the same size as the Assams, at one point. The Assams seem stunted/not growing or growing...
