    Ok...GA3 ain't for me anymore

If they are more mature plants, just bend them slowly and carefully so as not to snap them. You may need to do it a little bit at a time until the make it all the way over. Think of it as plant Yoga with Bondage straps. :)

    Ok...GA3 ain't for me anymore

That Aji isn't actually that big, just crazy branching. I had a nutrient issue early on that stunted everything I was growing in pots (Read that as I F'd up and slightly over fed with a screwed up nute product that was not PH stable and dropped to something crazy in the 2.5 range in the soil. I...

    Ok...GA3 ain't for me anymore

Here is a rough example on one of my Aji Lemons that I could get a shot of. I'll do a new thread with the trini's once I can get them hardened off outside and show it step by step and over a good amount of time. All of my plants slowed down in growth due to the high heat here, but will take off...

    Ok...GA3 ain't for me anymore

No, you don't "Kink" it or snap it. It is easier to do when they are young and really flexible. It works much faster than Cutting the top, or HST training which does include kinking and pretty much breaking branches. LST doesn't stress the plant so it just keeps growing with no stall time, only...

Peppers are soft and pulpy. What's the deal?

Oh, they are definitely under shade canopies. It doesn't matter. All it did was stall the wilt by about 2 weeks. When it is 110* in the shade (What my thermometer in the garden read yesterday afternoon), it's not gonna help things. I also mix Gypsum into my soil in the fall.

    Ok...GA3 ain't for me anymore

Being in Hawaii you should have it in a lot of shops. If you have a hard time finding it ask a Sushi place where they get theirs. It will be in plastic packs, and look like wrinkles sheets of dark green paper. Our local asian markets have about 6 different brands in all different types and cuts...

Peppers are soft and pulpy. What's the deal?

This is the last year I am bothering with Bells. I've tried for 5 years now to get them to grow decently, and they just won't for me down here due to the heat. I get what you get. Squishy peppers, with a slightly wrinkled/wilted look to them. They just don't like Heat, and especially not super...

    Oh Sad day!

Politicians are a damned disease. Sadly, there is no cure for them either.

    Oh Sad day!

That was the best thing I ever did for myself. I can't imagine how hard it was after 27 years.I smoked for 5 years and it was a bitch to stop. If I hadn't quit, the price per pack these days sure as hell would have done it for me. I can't understand how any one can pay those prices that often...

    Oh Sad day!

yeah, this. not the smoke, but touching anything infected and then touching plants. Sorry if what I typed was a little misleading. I have seen figures stating that it is up to 40-50 years that the virus can live on dead leaf matter in the soil. Just sitting there waiting. Waiting to destroy...

    Oh Sad day!

I don't smoke or grow tobacco but you can apparently get it from smoking cigars and such near your plants, or having it on your hands and then touching them, It could be either Tobacco Mosaic, or tomato mosaic. Both effect peppers, maters, taters, and a bunch of other things. It looks more like...

    Oh Sad day!

Ok, I got some pics this morning and then pulled all infected plants out. In total I lost 2 Yellow Bells, 1 Red Bell, 6 Ancho's (That were freaking covered in little chili's) 1 Jalapeno, 1 Sweet Banana, and one Beefsteak Tomato. What really sucks is one of the Yellow bells was covered in...

    Oh Sad day!

:( I just got home and went out to inspect the garden... My Ancho's, Jalapeno, Possibly my banana, and a bunch of the bells are all showing definite Tobacco mosaic virus signs... I'll have to cut them out tomorrow. It also looks like it hit a few of the Maters, as well as some Kale. Something...

    Invasion of the .................WHAT THE..........!?!?!

That's just funny. All that work to get up into the pot too. We found them in our yard once a few years ago here in Az. That was during a wicked Monsoon, but we haven't seen them since.

    preservation Dehydrating Peppers

I think if you are 105* or lower they are ok. I am not positive though, as I remove any seeds I may want to save before I throw the peppers in to dehydrate. I just air dry the seeds on a paper towel.

    My Big Fat Greek Restaurant.

On Baseline and Mill... Fail! They have "Ghost Pepper" wings on the menu... Not made with anything resembling a ghost chili. Just Lots of Habs and a few other chilis. Hot, but not the nuclear I was searching for.

    Los Dos Molinos

This is so far the hottest Mexican food place I can find in the phx valley. I've been eating there for years. The Green Chili is awesome. Great heat, along with great flavor. I have never had a bad meal here, and have needed Ice cream afterwards several times. Come on Ice cream... :onfire: Need...

Impact of bed/pot depth on pepper growth?

You said the ones in containers got less light than the ones in the ground. Is it a lot less light? They could have stretched in search of more light. Do they have the same number of nodes as the ones in ground, just spaced further apart? Are the leaves broader?

    Are Your Fertilizers Poisoning You?

I totally agree with you. The Molasses causing E.Coli is the biggest load of BS I have heard in a long time. I have used it for years in my Tea, as well as in Hydro and never had a single problem. The only real problems with using it in Hydro is it can promote Root rot if done in to strong of an...

    Mutant Flowers

I would chalk this one up to stress of some sort if it was mutated on one plant and then it grew out of it. Maybe an OD of a supplement, or just environmental. I've never seen one do that though.
