Yes, it looks normal to me - similar to mine last season.

Mitzi's 2019 - Grow, grow, grow your Bhut

Caterpillars: I have some on my overwintering plants, in the "grow room" and the back bedroom.  Thankfully the three plants in our bedroom are unaffected as yet.  Some leaves have been getting chewed ever since I brought them indoors but I didn't find the culprits.  However, I found a small one...

Trippaul Threat (PdN x BMJ) Community Grow

Are you doing this name thing deliberately now?  She's Liz, I'm Mitzi.  You meant Liz in this post.     Although it's understandable that people who have got something different but interesting would want to continue it, surely the whole point of this community grow of a new cross is that...

    Rocoto growth pattern

I grew Rocotos for the first time last year.  Yours look pretty similar.  I found them to be very sprawling plants that loved to grow sideways rather than upwards.  Hope you have plenty of space for them to spread!  I would say yours look very healthy and happy and normal.   Rocotos need a long...

Mitzi's 2019 - Grow, grow, grow your Bhut

Just worked out that there are about 20 more varieties that I want to sow; a few baccatum and 15 or so annuum.  I don't have room for all those, and yet I really want to grow each variety; it's hard to pick some to drop.  It's probably just as well that not all the varieties I've already sown...

Mitzi's 2019 - Grow, grow, grow your Bhut

After a couple of days on a sunny windowsill*, today is cloudy so I've got them under the Secret Jardin LED light in the "grow room" which isn't actually set up for this year yet.  They are getting much more intense light than the other seedlings, which are on the dining room windowsill under an...

Mitzi's 2019 - Grow, grow, grow your Bhut

Talking to them boosts their carbon dioxide levels so helps them grow.   Last summer, every time I went past it, I told my Reaper plant that it was going in the compost bin at the end of the season if it didn't produce x number of pods.  It kind of worked but most of the pods were so tiny they...

    Why kill last years plants?

If my plants could survive the winter outside then I'd definitely keep them for a few years, until they became less productive.  We had a good summer last year so everything went outside, then when I brought them indoors for overwintering I found I had brought a lot of bugs in with them (not...

Mitzi's 2019 - Grow, grow, grow your Bhut

These are the three lanky seedlings plus the CW Red in porridge pots. Weak and floppy as if they'd been on a bender all weekend. Come on, troops, grow a backbone and look lively!

    Adams London grow

Looks like you're rapidly going to run out of room in that grow box although hopefully sunlight will be good enough to use the windowsills by then.

Trippaul Threat (PdN x BMJ) Community Grow

OK I am totally confused by all the generational talk.  Someone started with a PdN and a BMJ and cross-pollinated them.  Saved the seeds, grew the seeds, those were the F1 plants, right?  First generation.  The F1 plants fruited - theoretically they should all have been identical at this stage. ...

Mitzi's 2019 - Grow, grow, grow your Bhut

This morning I potted up three lanky seedlings from the airing cupboard into porridge pots: - Peach Jolokia - Havana Gold - Guyana Rush plus a ChilliWilly Red from a Jiffy 7 into a porridge pot and a White Jolokia into a Jiffy 7. The seeds I was waiting for have arrived. Today I have soaked and...

They all survived my absence, albeit in varying degrees of health. The peach fatalii which I thought was germinating turned out not to be. This is all my babies so far:

    Hi From Wales

Welcome, from England!   I seem to remember that Dragons Breath is just a reselected Infinity Pepper and all the talk of it being the new world's hottest chilli was just hype and not true.  Plus it's English I believe.  But don't let that stop you!     Seriously, good luck with your new venture.
