    spongey's 2012 grow

Thanks for sharing that stem split, I've never seen anything like it. Looks like it was photoshopped even though it wasn't hehe Seems everybody is ahead of me with their grow, guess it's the low night temperatures here that really slows down growth :( Great plants :)

    first time hydro grow

So what became your solution to prevent plants falling over when checking nutrients? I sure will go through the same when my outdoors DWC plants gets that big.

Slashroot's 2012 Pepper Season - Superhots under LED

Thought I would post some pod pictures. They are all from indoors hydroponic system, some time before greenhouse plants produce ripen peppers. Not a lot of peppers but I'm satisfied :) Red Rocoto / Manzano Congo Trinidad Red Habanero 7 Pod / Pot

    water Water chiller for reservoir?

Too low or too high temperatures can slow down or stop growth. Many other problems that can come, like root rot/death. Lower reservoir temperatures makes the water hold more oxygen, improving growth and overall health of the plant. I'm no expert though. Don't know exactly what is the best...

    water Water chiller for reservoir?

To get a water chiller here you would probably have to double that 300 bucks. I'm on the fence about getting a water chiller after all the feedback you guys have given. This far I haven't noticed any root rot/discoloration. It was the thought about getting more healthy plants that tempted me...

    first time hydro grow

Thank you for sharing the details :) That tent you got sure looks like my secret jardin dark room 120, or just a look alike? I grew too many plants in my tent this year, next year I will limit it to 4 plants. My problem is when I have too many plants and they grow crowded they simply don't get...

    bonsai glog

Some day I might try creating a bonsai plant myself, it sure is a really cool thing to do. Are you going to bend the stem when it's growing to produce a cool look or just let it grow it's own way? Sure takes more effort to constantly bend it all the time to shape the stem.

    first time hydro grow

Very nice plants you got! The roots are like perfect, white and healthy. How strong air pump do you use for those 5 buckets? How many gallons are the buckets? What nutrients and at what rate are you running? What light? That's a lot of questions but I'm really interested in your growing :) I...

hydroponic Trinidad Scorpion Butch T Hydroponic

That's pretty amazing, like having your own tree with peppers on it! My plant is not getting enough light and it's still pretty tall. It's nothing compared to 7 feet like you mentioned hehe Thought I would post a short video of the plant, if anybody is interested. It's not growing in perfect...

Slashroot's 2012 Pepper Season - Superhots under LED

Thought it was about time to post an update of the soil plants in greenhouse. I had to move the DWC pepper plants inside the greenhouse, they were suffering from the harsh and cold weather. Even though the bucket lids are made of thick white plastic, algae grew like crazy. So I improvised some...

hydroponic Trinidad Scorpion Butch T Hydroponic

I am growing a TS indoors, kinda regret planting it indoors. It has gotten too tall and wide, topping my growtent almost and going taller up than my growlight reach haha My other superhots are easy to grow indoors, they don't take too much space. Average around 4 feet tall while the TS is 5...

Slashroot's 2012 Pepper Season - Superhots under LED

Thank you, think I will make a dish with it tomorrow. First time tasting a superhot, excited! I'm sure it's a red one, just when the picture was taken it was a bit orange in color. Today it's like pure red :) Suppose to be pure red 7 pot but it reminds me of other strains of 7 pot. Can't get...

Stefan_W's Great Big Beefy Pepper Adventure: Grow List

Honestly I feel like Tabasco plants are so sensitive to leaf curl, every Tabasco plant I've had has been doing similar to yours. Doesn't seem to disturb the plant though :)

Santa Rita Hills CA, Going to the market!

I dunno if such charts exist. There are so many factors that would play a role when it comes to yield. I guess your best bet is making yourself a chart that applies to your specific growing conditions. You sure got an amazing amount of plants going, wish I had that same opportunity!

Slashroot's 2012 Pepper Season - Superhots under LED

Honestly my hydro system could have been built in a much better way. Close to impossible to clean the reservoir the way I built it. Would be better if they all used one shared reservoir and not 3 independent ones. I dunno if the watering tubes was a good idea or not, only me going creative...

Slashroot's 2012 Pepper Season - Superhots under LED

Quite some time since I have updated, haven't been much excitement lately. Today my first ever superhot pod has ripened! It's suppose to be a 7 pot but I find it quite different looking than other peoples pictures. Any thoughts? Here's a picture from yesterday: And from today!

nutrients Experiment Time, going to test different PPM ratios on plants with hydro nutrients

Agree with the comments above, so many variables that can make the experiment fail. I'm very interested in the experiment and will be following this thread! Doing a lot of hydroponic systems myself now. I'm not measuring ppm but EC mostly. Doing 1800EC to 2000EC on grown up plants.
