    glog Marturos 2025 Glog.

I'm having the same reaction. I grew for 20 years with fluorescent lights and a few days ago I set up some LEDs as @CaneDog suggested, and so far I'm really impressed! I'll follow up with some details on my GLOG.

That's 40%?!? Is 100% somewhere between Tsar Bomba and The Rapture?

    indoor-growing Grow Light (Tabletop) Recommendations/Ideas?

Okay I'm back, and looking to make a purchase soon. A final question for @Marturo @CaneDog and any other lighting experts on here: I'm assuming that there's going to have to be a 'hardening off' period when moving from the current, relatively weak grow lights to the new ones. If the new set...

fertilizer-nutrients Diesel Exhaust Fluid, good/cheap source of Nitrogen?

At first I almost said "April Fools'!" Considering what you are buying is only 1/3rd urea, I'd do a cost comparison with how it compares to purchasing pure urea in bags: https://www.amazon.com/Urea-Fertilizer-Nitrogen-Alliance-Chemical/dp/B09LFT6CCJ

    glog First go at this!

This is good to know-I learned something! Edited to add: I learned that I'm not as intelligent as I sometimes believe, since I germinate using the paper towel method. I was conflating germination with post-germination growing of seedlings.

Looks like a good selection! You've got some fiery varieties there! I'd be overstepping my level of experience if I were to give you advice on whether or not to use anything that supplements humidity in your environment, because I'm in the relatively humid Northeast. I think there are growers...

    glog NJChilehead's 2025 GLOG

Wow, this spring Rocoto experiment is really working out! I have 3 Rocoto Aji Largo fruit that set this past week, and this gives me a total of 4 so far. We're not even close to the optimum temps that I observed last year for them. Hopefully once that hits (about the 3rd week of April until the...

Hey @hmartin , you got this! Which varieties are you growing? Also, talk to me about the humidity dome. I've never used one, and my ambient humidity indoors is pretty low in the winter/early spring because of forced air heating. It seems like if you use one, you'll just have to acclimate...

    CaneDog FigGlog 2025

Not too bad! They're looking like they're right on track to be up-potted in May: I SWORE last year that I wasn't going to add any to my collection, but someone offered me cuttings for a Green Michurinska, which is like a unicorn fig in that it's very early, very cold hardy and extremely...

    CaneDog FigGlog 2025

Outstanding work! Just a side note, Dan's UNK Italian Honey seems to be susceptible to transplant shock. Not sure why but every time I've done an intermediate up-potting, I lost 30-50% of them. That didn't tend to happen with most other types, although one new type that I tried this year...

    indoor-growing Grow Light (Tabletop) Recommendations/Ideas?

Wow, do I need some help! I tried reading and researching on my own, including some of the grow light threads on THP, but the more I read the worse it becomes so I have to defer to the experts here. I've been using a tabletop fluroescent ngrow light system identical to this one for about 20...

Update of the week-it doesn't seem like only a week ago that I last posted, so I guess it's been a long one! Here are the results so far. All of the seeds that have sprouted radicles in the paper towels have emerged from the soil and are growing! Sorry about the crappy photos. Outlined in...
