That's awesome. Glad you liked them. I've really liked that variety both for the pods and the growth habit. Did you get good production? They did well for me in the ground this year, but I got a late start with them and still don't think I've seen their full potential.

    Stetto's '21, ok ok ok, SEMI-glog glog

Looks like a lot of good things happening for a season that started out in question. The rocotos look great - wish they could look like that in springtime more often.

health I almost killer her, now what?

Way to be a good son and give your mom the one that already had peppers. ;) BF's post pretty much covered it above. Your scotch bonnet plant looks awesome and I'm sure it will start setting pods soon given that the other was. I'll also add something I've experienced, that when an established...

Wow, that is a winner. Very intricate patterning in the corolla.

Hey MF! Well, I have some Mirasol peppers growing downward, so maybe it all evens out one way or another. I think the "Inek" pepper goes by a few names in different places, so I wouldn't been at all surprised. The community garden haul will be pretty good if no one beats me to it, which was...

Me too, PaulG. I'm hoping they have some good heat to them. Have you gotten an actual orange color out of the Orange Spice before? Last season mine looked pretty much red. Thanks. I received the seeds as Inek Boynuza, but I suspect this pepper is the same as or simply a regional variation of...

Well shoot! Yes, they're actually Lemon Spice Jalapenos, not Yellow Spice. My bad. Must have me some weekend-brain  Mine have been sweet, like DF's and they're productive. I've been happy with them.

I took some pictures at the community garden while I was out checking on water. We're starting to get some rain again after almost none the last 2-1/2 months. The silver lining to the cooling weather is that I've probably done the last watering I'll have to at the community plots this season...

@PaulG Tovarii is a really fun one, though my experience is it can be finicky. I can't wait to see how they do for you down there. Can't imagine what happened with your rocopicas; maybe just one of those things where they lose their stride. My brown rocopica was an overwinter of the F2 and...

I'm not sure that any of this current group are, at least not strongly so. The Moz Piri and Peach Frut are new to me, so possibly them. I'll pay more attention as I start to harvest them. I tend to harvest in batches so I don't mind if they stay attached firmly as I won't lose as many to the...

    Variegated Jalapeno Grow Log

Saw this yesterday. I've been selecting for higher anthocyanin in the stems, but it's my first purple pod since I've been growing these.

Great images on this page! That PF Chac bush is a beast and I'm a big fan of lanceolatum and its many cool characteristics. I store them in a pelican case and often keep a reusable desiccant similar to these inside to compensate for periodic opening and closing.

    pics Today's Purchase

I would expect mirasol pods to be commonly available red/ripe at fresh markets. Also, you may find them bagged in dried (red) form at groceries, with the seeds often viable. Not the other 3 though. If you see them at markets you can sort through the bin for the ripest pods that are starting...

Good eating varieties, but keep in mind those peppers mature to red, despite being harvested green, so the seeds are likely to be immature and germinate poorly, if at all.

Thanks DF. Yeah, the thunder mountain are one of the few annuum that have that gnarly bumpy look, plus being all long and twisted too they look pretty cool. BTW, those Ring of Fire Cayenne you hooked me up with are just loaded with pods. When I take a picture the pods seem to disappear into...

Kinda bummed. The dwarf hidalgo serrano fell off the deck and by the time I realized it yesterday, it wasn't salvageable :( In happier news, The big 1242 x 1491 F3 pods are stabilizing around the size of ping pong balls. I'm hoping it has the off-orange color of the the 1242, but the smart...

Staying alive, staying alive.. Ah ah ah and not.

Yeah, it's easy to get out of control on different varieties and then miss out on old staples - like paper lantern which produces great for me, but I haven't grown in years. I've been on a bit of a frutenscens kick lately since you sent me that piri piri african devil, which has been awesome...
