That's new for me... and certainly a good thing (for me).

Germination of the "properly stored" seeds is OK: Fatalii (4/4), Sweet Nariñense (3/5), Dulce (10/10), Xkatik (7/10). I have sown a batch of fridge-stored seeds from SLP, fingers crossed. I still had some dried chile from my visit to Yucatan and removed some seeds. I didn't bother to count...

Shipping to MX was free before the pandemic but changed to U$12. I haven't ordered from them in a while...

Wrong season perhaps? It prefers cooler temperatures...

It's a mustard. If you like to add leafy greens (lettuce and the like) to your sandwich, they're worth a try.

I don't know about the other varieties, but ají guyana is very tasteful. Highly recommended.

Very different worlds, really. Germination and sprouting can be a few weeks apart. A "seedling root" (radicale) is sent into the soil, and only afterwards the seed sends a shoot to the surface. Read here about different palm germination types.

A container full, I guess 🤡. Personally, I'm more interested in how long it will take to fill the container. It was a busy weekend: transplanting, rearranging places, sowing, ... Some 🌴-pr0n from the weekend. For palms, I check once every 2 weeks whether new sprouts have appeared. For Licuala...

I finally was able to score galangal plants (Alpinia galanga). The stems look miserable after the transport, but new shoots are already developing. I've placed the container at the N-side (rain + shade) for now, together with turmeric (Curcuma longa) and beehive ginger (Zingiber spectabile).

Fatalii has germinated (so far 3/4). Seeds have been stored in the fridge since early 2021, which makes all the difference. I spotted a small pepper on my Kisin plant. Good news, but the plant itself looks "tired". Mites, high temperatures, dry winds... It was one of the few pepper plants...

DN also did well in my tropical climate. Bih caramel was very productive here...
