Yea, we had a ton of them growing up. The holes and the color of it is a give away. Looks old and already hatched out. They definitely come out of the side there where those holes are.

Haha yea no joke. My beds are all filled with foreign soil. Not sure I'd go to a lab. I might just try a soil test from lowes or test applying it to a few controlled plants.

Is something like this worth it if you are just growing plants for transplant to an outside raised bed?   I need a simple method for growing 30+ plants for transplant and currently am using a modified double cup with red solos.... once they get topping size they go through water like crazy...

What kind of lights are the two main ones?    Looks good though... I only use my lights for starting transplants but I might have my lights closer than needed.

Regarding the ferts. I have my beds mulched with wood chips etc. No till farming   will granules work well enough if applied to the surface/over the mulch or is it better to just use liquid ferts and water in?

  Single fert as in the ratio type ? or frequency of application?   I've heard of growers that only fertilize when they transplant too.
