    Beginner mite help

Hey mate, Try spraying the neem daily. It works by disrupting the reproductive cycle so daily spraying for a month will kill them off entirely.

Yeah I think that a caterpillar got in there haha, they will go away when it starts getting very hot. Doesn't seem to hurt the plant

    Powelly 2020

Terrible at logging every year, lets see if I have better consistency this time!   I have a new son, born in January this year. So I only had time to grow one pepper bought from my local bunnings - a habenero. It's been in the pot about 2 weeks now.    This pot is now in it's 4th consecutive...

    hi all

https://aquamasterplumbing.com/2015/01/26/everything-you-need-to-know-about-weeping-tile/   You put them underground in a closed loop system and send waste water / any water down them. They then will fill up and leak out into the water underground where it will not evaporate. It's the most...

    BSF vs Farm Compost

It's not redundant because worms and bsf process different materials at different rates. Bsf are very inefficient when it comes to getting nutrients out of organic material because they are using many of the nutrients for themselves. They do well at processing food waste and wet waste.  The...

    BSF vs Farm Compost

You said you'd be "wasting the benefits" which is completely false

    BSF vs Farm Compost

Red worms digest the more recalcitrant cellulosic materials, something that larvae cannot do. To recover all available nutrients, processing through composting worms is required. Worm castings increase the nutrient availability of compost 3 fold

Experiment: What happens if you do absolutely nothing at all

"Do nuttin" is doing his favourite thing... nothing! The weather is starting to pick up now. It has a few sets of leaves. Days are now as long as the nights which is usually when things start doing well here in Adelaide

    BSF vs Farm Compost

BSF larvae are very inefficient composters. This makes them great for things like food waste that would pile up really quickly but personally looking at that compost pile I would be introducing worms instead of BSF larvae and I would be putting the finished BSF larvae compost onto that pile also

    Compost

Let it dry out, you could also feed it through a worm bin. I'd let it cure for a little while, just keep it moist. If you're using it outdoors then it will definitely be fine to use by spring

Experiment: What happens if you do absolutely nothing at all

Still just opening it's first set of leaves. Growth normally kicks off when the days are the same length as the nights, around 20th September
