    Frost damage - still edible???

We had the first frost last night and it came kinda surprisingly - at least to me. Today I noticed that some peppers on plants that were okay yesterday were kinda soft to the touch, obviously caused by the frost. They look okay though. This is the first time this has happened to me, so I am...

    Ripe Nipples

I harvested my first ripe Nipples pod today and tried a piece of it (the rest went into the chili I am cooking). I wouldn't rate it as a super hottie, I'd say it has the heat of a Bird's Eye. It also shares an intense up front burn. I feel it on my lips and on the tip of my tongue! It lacks a...

    Garden/pepper update

Well, I managed to turn about one third of the garden from a jungle into growing space for next season. I have sown raddish for a winter harvest, but showing pics of the tiny plants wouldn't be too exciting, so here's some pics of my chili plants instead: Aji White Wax - very prolific this...

    Magic Bullet

I saw you guys mentioning this lil' machine a couple of times recently and today I saw an advert for it, they are offering it for a pretty good price for an imported machine (around 25 bucks) and so I'd like to know if you can recommend getting one!? What do you use it for, are there any...

    Wotta mutant!

Take a look at this mutant. This pod looks as if it has been growing into two directions, but there's still a hole in there and you can even spot the seeds. Grows as well as any other pod though, I'll see what it turns into... Never seen something like that before.

    It's getting f**king cold!!!!

Don't know what's it like where you live, but over here, it's getting really cold during the night, so I decided to protect my plants from possible frost. It's too cold for the time of the year and most are still loaded with pods, so I refuse to move them indoors already. I bought a load of so...

    Bird's Eye spread

My Bird's Eye was producing lots of pods and today alone I picked 44 pods. Here's the plant before I picked them: I meant to create a hot spread to spice up my breakfast anyway, so I decided to use these hotties for it. I added Pimenton de la Vera, Chipotle, Ginger, Macis, Salt, dried...

    Finally - a dehydrator!

I meant to do it for a while now, but since I actually have some extra money this month, I decided to finally get a dehydrator to cope with the growing number of pods I can pick daily. Here it is: It has a timer and can operate at 250, 500 and 700W. It's not an Excalibur, but I guess/hope...

How do you spice up your Bloody Mary

When I am having a Bloody Mary (or two) I like to have a splash of Blair's Jersey Death in it. What hot sauce (or whatever!) do you use to make it a Gory Mary? I wanna have and serve a few tonight and am always open for new ideas! That doesn't mean that they are no longer welcome after...

    Yellow Mojo Sauce

Since I had a load of yellow chilis I decded to make a yellow Mojo sauce instead of the red one. Just for the look of it and to see if it'd taste any different. Yellow peppers (as many as you like, I used about 10) 2 teaspoons salt 1 teaspoon ground caraway 2 bulbs of garlic 400 ml (0.105...

    Can anyone identify this?

I accidently mislabeled some plants this season and now I'm not sure what some are, especially about varieties I have never grown and probably seen before. Does anyone know what these are??? The link in my signature has a list of all varieties I am growing, so it should be one of those...
