    Indoor Grow - Round Two

After an unexpected event, my Thai plants got neglected and and died, so I'm starting over again with a single plant, an ani rainforest. Still growing under the 4 45 watt unifun panels, with climate at 50% and 77f. Only growing one plant so I can save room for growing some herbs without having...

    glowing peppers?

I thought it kinda odd, my peppers practically glow when they ripen, at least under the grow light with ir/UV. The picture is processed to show the contrast because the lights nearly overload the camera sensor even on minimum exposure. Not just the Thais do this, even the orange habs lit up...

    paper cups?

Do paper cups hold up to starting seedlings or do they get soggy and fall apart? Or, should I just spend the money on solo cups and be done with it. I'd use Styrofoam cups but they'd be too much insulation to get the soil temps up. What are your experiences?

    Orange Habanero?

Do orange hab's usually start out this pale? The reds I've grown in the garden before definitely started out a much darker green, but I've never grown the orange ones before.

    Pepper cheese?

Any good online sources for other than average pepper jack cheese? I've had ghost pepper jack and it was all heat and no flavor, would like something with medium heat and a good flavor for sandwiches.

    sandwiches Spicy sauces for sandwiches?

I already have sriracha, and home made creamy southwest sauce that was a copycat of subways southwest chipolte sauce, but I used arbol powder instead and twice as much. Any other ideas for sauces that would go well on cold sandwiches for lunches?

soil soil runnoff ph too low?

I watered until I got about a half inch of run off in the drip trays to make sure they got a good soak again. I normally only water 2-4 cups of water every 3-4 days, now that the plants are getting bigger I figured its time to water deeper, especially since the Thais are showing some curling on...

    Easy Teaspoon Sauce

Found a simple recipe for hot sauce with dried pepper powders, that I plan to try pretty soon. Sort of classic Louisiana hot sauce. 10 tsp water 10 tsp white vinegar 3-5 tsp pepper powder 1 tsp garlic powder 1 tsp salt Would this have to be boiled thoroughly to pasteurize or just simmered to...

    leaf surface temp tests

Got my new ir thermometer today, and started my testing of leaf surface temperatures at differing humidity and temp levels. Its hard to test at a range of temperatures right now, when I can't seem to get my temps consistently above 75f, so I'm testing at 73f at the plant till I get a bigger...

lighting leaves drooping before lights out

I run the light from 6am to midnight, and by 8pm the leaves on the two Thai hybrids are drooping down, but are perked back up again in the morning. The habanero's just seem super happy all the time. I'm wondering if it has to do with the fact that they originate in a region that has around 12...

    indoor Best indoor climate?

Has anybody found a climate that seems to stimulate the best growth/production in their indoor grows? I'm currently at 75f and 55% humidity, and was getting really quick growth before I had to start over when my cats ate my plants. My current grow is two habaneros and two large Thai hybrids...

indoor Ceramic heat emitters and grow tents

I've been using my 150 watt ceramic heat emitter for about a week now, and it works much better than blowing a space heater through the door of the tent. I did figure it out today that they don't work in dry air. At less than 30% humidity, it can't warm up the air. Get the humidity up just a...

    Time to start over

After the cats damaged my plants they decided to finish them off the rest of the way. In about a week or so I should have the panda film and heating gear to make a more secured grow tent and not have to leave the door open for the space heater, so I've got some more seeds terminating by coffee...

    Hello from ND

After a bad season of gardening I decided to start some indoor growing again for the first time in over 20 years, but back then it was a different kind of crop. Had wet freezing temps this spring as the garden was germinating then warmed up quickly spreading rust and fungus, followed by birds...
