How long are they now? I have found to have better luck if I wait until the 'tails' are at least 5mm and as long as 1cm. Sometimes when I plant seeds with tails only 2-3mm, they don't sprout. But as long as they tails seem pretty strong and not weak then they should be fine.

Oh yeah, what do the underside of the leaves look like? Are they green or a darker colour? Any brown patches? Any fine webbing?

Ok I'll see if I can find a loupe or a cheap microscope - whichever is cheapest. If there is still no sign of bugs, then I guess it's a fungal infection. Thanks for the input.
